The Wave-never been there

I already have reservations for:
Yak and Yeti
Chef Mickey’s dinner

Here are my thoughts....I also just came back from 10 days at WDW last week!

Tusker House Breakfast - we loved it for breakfast
Ohana dinner - its a hit and miss I find
Chefs De France- never been but friends di dit this year and it was their worst meal of their trip
Whispering Canyon Café- personally I hate it. Its loud, rude waitresses, I hate the little tacky games they play and the food was terrible
Liberty Tree Tavern-never been
The Wave-never been
Yak and Yeti - never been
Chef Mickey’s dinner - I hate their dinner but like their breakfast
Sci Fi - never been
Le Cellier - LOVE IT, my fave

Another one of our faves this time around was Teppan Edo and Tutto Italia!

Good luck:thumbsup2

Here's my $.02:

Tusker - Haven't been there since the change.
Ohana - Love it.
Chefs De France - Never been there.
Whispering Canyon - Love it. Loud and fun. Foods not to bad for Disney, and the hotel is probably one of the most beautiful hotels that Disney owns, with the exception of the Grand Californian.
Liberty Tree - It's a pretty good place to eat, and it's old Disney, which is cool.
The Wave - Have not been there since the re-vamp. Used to love to there and have a beer and look out at the lake.

Yak and Yeti - Still on the list of places to try.
Chef Mickey's - Back in the good ole' days, when Chef Mickey's was at DTD where the Rainforest Cafe is now, it was a great steak house, now it's a typical WDW buffet.
Sci Fi - Food sucks, AWESOME decor. (I'm a huge 50's sci fi fan.)
Le Cellier - Love the soup. Very cozy place.

Want to try something new (and rustic) check out Trails End buffet at Ft. Wilderness. Pretty decent food and it has that 'old Disney' feel.

Tutto Italia Ristorante - at EPCOT (now under new management) has pretty good food.

Tempe Edo is a fav. Not the greatest hibachi, but nice decor and host staff.
Olivia's over at Old Key West is a nice place to dine.

Have a fun trip!

Chefs De France-never been there Love lunch here, went for dinner last week and it was horrible

Whispering Canyon Café-never been there Went for lunch in August, it was terrible! No fun, no games, no antics, a dud for a server and the skillet was fatty, greasy and BLECH!

The Wave-never been there Went for dinner in March and August, both times the service and food was out of this world wonderful

Tusker - Never been
Ohana - Never been -- on list for future trip
Chefs De France - Never been, but we are trying lunch next trip (I've read really bad reviews for dinner)
Whispering Canyon - NEVER AGAIN. Could not pay us to eat here--awful service, awful food and DH got sick on the ribs/chicken. YUK.
Liberty Tree - Loved our lunch here two years ago and DH is anxious to go back
The Wave - Never been -- on list for next year

Whispering Canyon Café-never been there - We ate there last week - and we really liked it! You can get a milkshake with your meal on the DDP, too. And hey, ribs are supposed to be greasy, right? The ages of your kids (if any) might make a difference here though.
Liberty Tree Tavern-have been for lunch a couple times, liked it - We ate here when the characters were still there. Not too sure I would make this one now that the characters are gone...

Chefs De France-never been there

Ohana is my must do restaurant! I love the place!!

Chefs De France. Been once for supper - the tables are very crowded & our waitress spilled our drinks on us & it was freezing. ( I felt so sorry for her!) The food was good but not as good as I expected & we'll most likely not go there again.

Tusker House Breakfast - we are booked there our first time in Dec. so I hope it is good.

Tusker House Breakfast-been there for breakfast-loved itIt's ok - We noticed in July that it wasn't as good as last year, as it was more crowded, noisy and disruptive than normal. Food is ok, and nothing great. Characters are great here though.

Ohana dinner-been there for dinner-loved it We don't care for this restaurant at all. Love Kona Cafe!

Chefs De France-never been thereBeen there many times and it's hit and miss, but for the most part, it's pretty good food, not the best service and a nice atmosphere. Remy was a big hit for my niece's a few weeks ago!

Whispering Canyon Café-never been there It's ok - food isn't the best, and the atmosphere does get a bit crazy. It's also out of the way, but if you are staying at Wildnerness Lodge, than that won't be a problem for you, unless you take the ferry boat over from MK. Not worth it, IMHO.

Liberty Tree Tavern-have been for lunch a couple times, liked it Never cared for it - crowded with the smallest washroom I've ever seen. Not worth it at all, IMHO.

The Wave-never been there Absolutely stellar! Incredible service, food and atmosphere. A must-do for us after we went for 1st time this July! Loved it!

Happy eating, Tiger :)

May not be much help, but from your list I've been to Ohana and WC. I'd like to try The Wave before I'd return to either of those two.:earsboy:

Wow! Thanks for the responses, it's always nice to get honest opinions. Thanks so much!

Tuskar House breakfast loved it.
Wispering Canyon breakfast loved it, true Southern cooking, I know I'm from the South.
DH and I stayed at the WL last October and only ate breakfast there a few times never lunch or dinner so I don't know what the food is like then.
Love the Sci Fi, best burgers in all of Disney.

Those are the ones I know about haven't tried the others, plan on trying a few next trip.

Tusker House Breakfast- We loved this as well

Ohana dinner-have been twice, wasn't thrilled the first time a few years ago but tried it again last year & loved it!

Chefs De France-really enjoyed our lunch last year ... one of our best meals

Whispering Canyon Café-this is on our never again list for dinner. We found the meat in the skillet fatty, service slow and no 'antics' for us. It was a huge disappointment. We thought breakfast was pretty good and lunch ok.

Liberty Tree Tavern- had lunch last year and it was just ok. Used to enjoy dinner with the characters but won't go now that they aren't there

The Wave-Our best non-signature meal last trip!

Yak and Yeti - this was a miss for us last year but we are trying it again this year. I am hoping we had an off day

Chef Mickey’s dinner - prefer CM for breakfast but seeing the Fab 5 makes any meal there worth it for me!

Sci Fi - love the burgers at lunch!

Le Cellier - we eat here every trip! It is definitely a favorite!

Tusker House & Ohana ... and when you go to Ohana, make sure to tell Arpit the host that the family from South LA says hello. My little girl taught him how to make a growing worm with a soda straw. Chefs De France & the Wave are kinda "blah", Whispering Canyon is LOUD, LOUD, LOUD & Liberty Tree isn't the same since the chracaters left.
