Sorry, this is our 1st visit to WDW so we are ignorant. To get to restaurants in the various parks require a park ticket or park hopper pass into that park? So, if we arrive at the resort late in the evening, it's probably best just to eat at the resort or Disney Downtown rather than waste a day?

Thanks for answering these simple questions. I have read the boards hoping to find the answer, but I guess everyone else already knows.

Park admission is required to eat in the parks' restaurants. Depending on what time you arrive, you might want to consider dinner at one of the monorail resorts - riding the monorail is lots of fun and a great way to start off a Disney visit!! We also enjoy visiting Downtown Disney on our first night--Disney shopping, another great way to kick off your stay!!

Disney has so many wonderful restaurants both in the parks and at their resorts. Go over to allearsnet.com and click on dining. They list all the menus of all the Disney restaurants. A really great tool for planning.
