I've booked in for a character meal at AK in April because it was the only one left when I called for PS. I didn't even know this was available until I started on these boards - THANKS!! Anyhow, I was told it was Donald Duck & Mickey Mouse for Breakfast by the CM at Disney. My concern is everytime I read a book or website it always says Donald Duck is the hosting character at AK - my kids will be upset if they don't get Mickey too - he's "THE" man so to speak. Anyone eaten there? Is it any good? Will Mickey be there for sure? Any advice?

yes. mickey is there as is pluto and goofy. it is donald's breakfastasarous in AK. this is a good breakfast--served buffet style w/made to order omelettes. enjoy the fun and food.

I have some friends who love Restaurantosaurus (and I can't spell it either) I've never been there myself. They always put the "Characters my change without notice" note in, but usually they are the same from what I've found. Maybe someone who has been will be able to share more.

DH and DS love this breakfast! DS chows on the chocolate chip pancakes. Donald, Mickey, Goofy, and Pluto were there last year.

Yep the big 4 were there every tiome we went. This used to be the only place you could for sure see Donald-now we have seen him all over the place. This breakfast is a must do for my kids(the waiters can really get into it here-we have had some great ones) Have fun and be prepared to wait!

You will love it! It is a must do on our AK day whenever we are there. Also, did you get an early seating? If so, you can really get a jump on your day as you are already halfway in the park when you are finished eating. My husband loves it so much that he asked for it for his birthday on our next trip. The food is always very fresh and you get alot of interaction with the characters and yes, Mickey is there.

Thank you soooo much! My oldest's favorites are those 4 so she's going to LOVE it!! I am sooo excited. We have a 8:10am reservation. The CM told me that the park doesn't open until 9 so the paln is to have breakfast and then head straight to the safari? Does that sound sensible?

Actually I will let you in on our secret. I always send my husband over to the Safari right after eating and get fast passes. While he is gone my son and I do the "Dinoland" rides near the restaurant with NO WAIT. Once he gets back it is over to Kali River Rapids, again...NO WAIT. By this time it is usually time for the Safari so we grab some Tough to Be a Bug FP on the way to go to after the ride and head on over to the Safari. It works every time (even one 4th of July weekend.......gasp!)

The only problem that I have with AK is the layout. You will have quite a walk to get to the safari from the breakfast- The safari is back left of park breakfast right front of park. But I do think that the figueros plan is the best way to do it. We do a very similar thing-although we often get sidetracked at the dinoplayground! I have not ever had any wait at the Dino ride(I think some people think it is too intense?) Kali river rapids get you soaked so be prepared for that if you do it early in your day- be sure to wear waterproof shoes.

Be sure if they don't call your name after a little while to go and check. After waiting for almost an hour with our name not being called I check on our ps ressie. first they couldn't find our name. I told them I checked in when I got there almost an hour ago. They seached and found our name in the pile of names that had already been seated. I assured her we were not seated as we had been sitting about 20 ft. from where she had been standing and our name had not been called. Now the breakfast was almost over and we were rushed. Although they gave us a fastpass for any ride in the park and we used it for the Safari.

Use Disney transportation, don't drive. The bus will get you into the park, driving gets you stuck at the toll booth until they decide to open the lot.

Once in the park, the turnstile to the right is dedicated to guests with ps's for Donalds.

I've read this many times on here to not drive for Donald's and to use bus transportation. It's a nightmare if you drive.

We are staying off site (will stay onsite next time when the babies are older but booked a vacation home this time) , anyhow, that means I HAVE to drive - now what? We have a 8:10 reservation and I'm told the park opens at 9:00 so will someone be there to let us in? We have handicap parking so I assume that's close to the gate - provided we can get in the gate???

to book this ps i would have to do 2 sep. tables they do not have anything open for a party of seven is it really worth it to sit at two sep. tables esp our first morning in the park? i have 2ds and 3dd

I would try posting this over on the transportation board and maybe someone could help you out.
