So my trip has Epcot allocated across (3) - 1/2 days. All of which is during the F&W festival. I was able to score a table at Akershus one night and we planned on doing Spice Road Table on another - Spice Road being the one we were more excited about.

Currently I have the days set up as..

Tuesday
1/2 Universal (would be day 2 so we probably wouldn't be there long.)
1/2 Epcot

Friday
1/2 AK (Flame Tree for lunch)
1/2 Epcot (Akershus)

Saturday
1/2 HS (Sci-Fi for lunch)
1/2 Epcot (Spice Road Table & Illuminations dessert party)

We've never done F&W before and heard it can get very crowded - especially on the weekends. Should I keep the ressie for Akershus? We have it reserved fairly late (820pm) and expect to eat @ Flame Tree fairly early that day (1130ish) so I figured between Tuesday and Friday we should be able to snack to our hearts content and get the most out of F&W.

What do you experienced F&W goers think? Bail on Akershus or should I just keep it? Are the portions at F&W really bite sized? We will most likely be splitting everything we get between the two of us so that should leave us with enough room right? Do the booths serving F&W items change from lunch to dinner or is the menu served all day?

TIA!

The F&W Festival is a lot of fun. We put together lunch from the many sampler sized offerings from the kiosks. There's so much to choose from it usually takes us (3 adults) 3 - 4 lunches to try everything we want. We share because most items are enough for 3-4-5 bites. Typically we start at 11:00 when World Showcase opens and it takes us about 2-3 hours.

On Tuesday are you planning to eat lunch at Universal or graze around the World Showcase all day? You'll be able to try quite a few items that way, but on Fri and Sat I don't think you are going to be able to sample very much - at best a light mid-afternoon snack - because you have restaurants scheduled for both lunch and dinner.

F&W gets extremely busy on Friday nights and much of Saturday because the locals will be in attendance. If you decide to do just one restaurant on Friday I would keep Akershus. Likewise on Sat I would try Spice Road Table (no reservations so hopefully you'll be able to get a table) because of the crowds by evening and think about lunch at F&W rather than Flame Tree and/or Sci Fi.
