Ressies now, but add DDP later

If I make my reservations now without the Dining Plan added to my reservation, but then decide to add Dining (or get Free Dining!), do I have to redo my reservations all over again or can I just tell the servers we are on the DDP?

We want to make a MM Fantasmic Package reservation, as well as other character dinners.

Also, I am concerned that my credit card will get charged the $10 holding fee even though we do show up.

Unless you are booking Cinderella's Royal Table or a dinner show, whether or not you have the dining plan at the time you make the reservation makes absolutely no difference.

As for being concerned that you will be charged the no show fee even if you do show up, the only way to prevent that is to check your credit card statements and if you do get charged, call Disney and ask for a refund. Those who have done so (who ended up being charged due to glitches, which have been relativley few reports) have noted that you should be prepared to prove that you did in fact attend the meal (keep your receipt).
