Ressies for Bongos and Big River

I called tonight to make the ADRs for our August trip. We want to go to Bongos and Big River Grille. The CM I spoke to said they can't make reservations for either one. I thought I had read on the boards here that you could make ADRs for Bongos through Disney dining and do priority seating for Big River....the CM I spoke to offered neither of these options. Does anyone know what the story is??? Should I call back and speak to another CM???
