Ressies day by day: how does that work?

I started a thread about "waitlist pixie dust" (thanks gang!) and someone mentioned that they were holding out for a ressie and booked day by day.

How does that work? Does that mean I call every day trying to get what I want, rather than waitlist? Wouldn't MS get sick of me? :flower3:

Seriously, would that be a better way to handle my ressie? I'm looking for a studio at VWL Dec 1, 2, and 3.

I think you are mixing a couple of terms. Day by day reservations are when someone calls 11 or 7 months in advance of the second day of an upcoming vacation to book the first night. They then call back every day thereafter and add another day until the reservation is complete.

Day by day waitlisting means you accept any of the days for a trip that come open. This is opposed to waitlisting the entire reservation, which is harder to get but guarantees you won't have to move during a reservation. There is no need to call MS daily for any of the waitlists to work as long as you give them permission to book the day without calling you.
