Ressie: Is this a mistake or is it pixie dust!

We are scheduled to check in the Poly on Sunday! I booked a standard view in early September after the RO discounts for the fall were released. I have not had time to do on-line check-in yet so when I logged on to my Disney account today I noticed my ressie indicated it was "booked on November 6, 2012". I thought it odd knowing that I hadn't made any changes to the ressie other than requesting the Tahti longhouse a few weeks ago. Then I noticed a BIG change...the Room Type says Theme Park View! What's up with that? I very quickly printed a hard copy to take with me to check-in. I logged out of my Disney account and went back and looked at my original ressie e-mail from Sept and yes it said Standard View. I logged back into my Disney account and Theme Park View was still there. The room price hadn't changed (thankfully) still $304/night. Is it possible Disney rebooked the ressie for a TPV without charging me more? I know upgrades happen at check in but to have it in your ressie ahead of time? I don't want to get my hopes up but....I am excited. Do you think the Poly will honor this at check-in? Has this happened to anyone else? I still don't believe it!

I've seen this happen before, most likely you've been upgraded. They won't change the rate. Enjoy!

Sounds like you've been upgraded! Congrats.

IF it happens to be a mistake (which I think is unlikely), I don't think they would honor your printout because it isn't what you booked or paid for. It would be a mistake with the website.

But fingers crossed!

You could always call and just ask to verify what room type you have and see what they tell you.

You can go to the WDW site and pull up your reservation details and it breaks everything down for you - resort, components, room type, etc.

Wow! You are getting my hopes up. I keep checking to see if they took it away. We have gotten some upgrades in the past at WL and GF but never to a TPV type view.

I would just wait and see if it is true! What a nice "surprise" you'll have at check-in!

maybe they were booked into a building that was goin into refurb.... so disney felt like the upgrade would offset any requests the OP made on original location.

I've heard people getting upgrades both ways. If it is on your res, it's on your res regardless of online check in.

I've had this happen with my Yacht Club reservation (changed to Water View) and it was NOT an upgrade. Their computer system is just flakey. When we arrived it was Standard View all the way.

I am here at the Poly now and I did not get a TPV as my ressie indicated....but surprise I ended up in CL in the Hawaii long house! What a magical way to start vacation. Thanks to everyone for wishing me pixie dust. It worked out better than I could have hoped for. Love watching Wishes from CL lounge while sipping a glass of wine. I will write a full report when I am back.
