I am certain that this question has been asked many, many times but I can't find the answer.
Are these the resorts that are on the monorail line?
CR
Poly
GF
Are there others? Specifically, what type of transportation do guests of the Y & B Club and BWI use? And is it as convenient as the other resorts?

Yes, CR/GF/Poly are the only ones on the monorail.

All other resorts use buses and boats.

Yes. Those are the resorts with Monorail access.

I have not stayed at YC, BC or BWI, however, it is my understanding from other posters that they use bus transport. But that they can walk to EPCOT. I am sure that some one with first hand knowledge will post.

The Epcot resorts and all other WDW resorts have bus transportation to the parks. I believe you can use footpath from the Epcot resorts to Epcot and take busses from there to other parks.

Monorail access is definitly the best choice...if you are up for spending the extra cash on the specific deluxe resorts that it services.

BW, Yacht and Beach Clubs can all get to MGM and Epcot on foot or by boat. Buses to MK and AK. If you are looking for the resort with the best transportation it would most likely be the Polynesian. You can get the monorail to MK, take a boat to MK. Or you can walk, via the footpath, to the TTC and grab the monorail to Epcot. All the other monorail resorts can get to TTC to do this. It just seems easier/quicker at the Polynesian.

Decide which parks you will be in for the most part. When we decided to buy into DVC, my dh said he wanted only BWV, since he liked Epcot and MGM the most and that way he could just walk to the parks.

You can also take the monorail to/from Epcot & the MK by changing at the TTC. This is not the fastest route to/from the Epcot area resorts but it can be a nice break - plus our kids love the ride. We usually use this a few times during our stay to break up the Epcot visits. An example might be to take the bus from BC/YC/BW to MK early in the morning. THen when it get crowded ride the monorail to Epcot. We then walk thru EPCOT/WS doing some of the rides and we leave thru the WS exit and walk/boat to our hotel.

We usually go off season so the park that is open the latest is Epcot. Being able to walk to it is great.
