I am trying to plan out my Disney trip, and I am just wondering if any of the resorts are within walking distance of each other. I want to book a dinner or two at a different resort than I am staying at. If the resorts are not within walking distance, do buses go between the resorts? I am staying at All Star Sports and wanted to be able to have a couple nice dinners (other than at the food court, of course). Thanks for any help!

Some resorts are within walking distance of each other. The three All-Stars are within walking distance but there are no table service restaurants in them. There is no other resort withing walking distance of the AS. POR and POFQ are within walking distance of each other. BC, YC, Boardwalk and Swan and Dolphin are close to each other.

Buses don't go directly from resort to resort. You can drive directly but if you don't have a car you can still get from point to point with Disney transportation by transferring. Depending on your start and destination there are many ways to get from one resort to another. You can take a bus to a park then get on another bus from the park to your destination or go to Downtown Disney and transfer. Resorts on the monorail (CR, Poly or GF) - you can take a bus to MK then get on a monorail to resort. If you have reservations you will want to leave enough time for travel. If you have a specific path I'm sure many on this board will give suggestions or you can ask Guest Services at All-Star for the easiest path when you are there.

There is also the option of taking a cab.

The only resort you can walk to from All-Stars is Coronado Springs, and it's about a 45 minute walk.

However, eating at other resorts is not hard at all.

There is no resort-resort transportation, but that can be worked around.

Plan your resort dinners around the parks you are going to be at.

Let's say you want to have dinner at the Polynesian, Contemporary, Grand Floridian or Wilderness Lodge/Ft. Wilderness. Plan to have dinner there when Magic Kingdom is open late, spend the afternoon at the Magic Kingdom, take the monorail over to the Poly, CR, or GF, or take the boat to WL, or Ft. Wilderness, have dinner, go back to the Magic Kingdom, then bus back to All-Stars

If you want to have dinner at Boardwalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club, Swan or Dolphin, plan your dinner when Studios is open late, then plan your afternoon at Epcot or Studios, walk or take the boat to where you want to eat, then walk or boat back to the Studios, then bus back to All-Stars,

If you want to eat at Old Key West, Saratoga Springs, or Port Orleans, then bus over there from any park you wish, have dinner, then boat or bus to Downtown Disney, then bus to All-Stars

If you want to eat dinner at Animal Kingdom Lodge, then I would recommend eating there after spending the afternoon at Animal Kingdom, then take a taxi back to All-Stars.

Wow, you both were very detailed and incredibly helpful:thumbsup2

Your information has helped out a lot, thanks!
