Resorts w/suites - 3 sleeping surfaces

Will you need an extra sleeping surface next time? The 2br suites have a ton of space, especially OKW!

My family booked a two bedroom villa at OKW. It certainly is not the same as staying on the moo trail line or in an Epcot area resort, but it sure does offer a lot of space. That space seemed to be larger than my house!

OP how do you feel about the Swan and Dolphin? We are in a similar boat as you and wanted to stay deluxe with a fam of 5 and separate sleeping areas. We got a suite at the Dolphin for around $450 a night during spring break. We are here now and love the room, resort and location. But you don't get Disney dining plan or Disney Magical express here if that matters to you. But you are onsite and have access to Disney transportation and get Fastpass booking benefits. We love the Boardwalk area but felt too squeezed in at the Beach club.

If you have lots of lead time you could also rent DVC points. I've heard that mentioned as an option for getting lots of space at a Disney deluxe resort.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ve never considered swan or dolphin for the reasons mentioned above. We always do dining plan and magical express. But I will keep it in mind. My only hesitation with renting DVC points is that you can’t make any changes and we often need to move things around due to work schedule and kids sports depending on what’s going on at the time. We’ve already made 2 date changes to our stay in August. Lol

I’m hoping I decide on a place before we get there so I know what to book if we get offered a bounce back.

You'll love it. If you want a great view, book building 46 top floor (#4631). It looks over the canal.

Hmmmmm....well the AoA suite is kind of perfect for us as far as layout goes. Its got the queen bed in the bedroom, a murphy bed, and a pull out sofa in the other living area. Thats ideally what I want but at a deluxe resort. Why is that so hard? LOL. I dont think the cost of a 2 bedroom villa is worth it for us. But I could go for a 1 bedroom villa. I dont want to have to do an air mattress because then its a battle of which child has to sleep on it. One of them wouldnt be happy. LOL

A one bedroom villa at a place like OKW has three sleeping "surfaces" It has the King bed in the humongous bedroom, and then a huge living room with both a sleeper chair (which is very comfortable and a sleeper couch. I would also not hesitate bringing an air mattress as well as there is more than enough room for that as well. And you can get a one bedroom with the pass through in the laundry room so anyone can go to the bathroom without disturbing the others. Heck, the two year old could sleep on an air mattress in the bathroom part closest to the bedroom. Big enough room where he would be near you but have his own little space. All t that is in that room is a pedestal sink and the jacuzzi tub. Sit the air mattress in the tub during the day to keep it out of the way.

So i don’t know how you feel about your kid sleeping in the bathroom, but you can fit a pack n play in the second bathroom of a poly studio and close the door. That gives the 2 year old their own (very small) space to sleep. It’s just a shower and sink, no toilet so it’s not as gross as it sounds.

Then you still have the queen bed, the pullout sofa and the smaller trundle bed which the 9 year old can sleep on.

You’ll be on the monorail and it’s cheaper than the 1 and 2 bedroom suite options, but it’s a lot less space.
