Sorry if this has been asked before, but I just made a PS this morning for Breakfastosaurus (8:00 am on October 21st) and was told I will need my own transportation as the busses aren't running from the resorts that early. Can we not take an AK bus from our resort (CSR) & arrive on time...I thought the busses started early enough to get us to the parks for an early PS...has something changed? I will have a rental car but I'd prefer to use Disney Transportation. TIA

:jester: If you drive to the AK, you don't have to pay for parking as a hotel guest, and you don't have to wait for a bus going back to your hotel.

Thanks Tyler...I was hoping you'd reply.:) I hate it when Disney CMs give out wrong info. :( If I'd never been to WDW before I wouldn't know any better, would believe the CM and be driving everywhere. I love Disney Transportation & except for the odd shopping trip into Orlando, my car stays parked. We find the bus trips part of our "Disney Experience". Thanks again for the quick reply.

I always tell people to never trust bus information unless it comes from someone who wears purple pants. The reason being, our operation is so dynamic, we're always changing. It's hard enough for US to keep up, never mind someone outside the mix.

It's unfortunate that our Bus Info hotline (407-WDW-RIDE) is now manned by a call center, instead of purple panted people. I can understand why they wanted to do it... they were getting far too many calls for Bus Central to handle it anymore, but it makes me leary about some of the information they give out.

The only problem with taking your own car to AK for an 8:00 a.m. PS is that they don't open the parking lot until 8:00 a.m. By taking the bus you can actually get to the entrance before 8:00 a.m. which is key if you want to enjoy breakfast and still be done by 9:00 so you can have a jump on the crowds entering the park.
