OK, I told myself I had till November 1st to make my hotel decision. I have ressies at a few different hotels and I don't like holding on to them. Price is not a big factor to me but it is to my friend traveling with me. Please give me YOUR honest pros and cons. I have read different reviews for each place. My top 2 choices are RPH which will run about $1600.00 and Hawthorn which will run $719.99 and includes a hot breakfast each day and a suite with a kitchen, not that I cook on vacation. The others are the Rodeway, Best Western Movieland and Holiday Inn coming in around $500.00. I understand the benefits of staying on-site but for the $900.00 more I'm not feeling it. Please help?????

I have only stayed at one of your choices...RPR. I can't say that my opinion is unbiased...

We loved RPR. Definitely worth the extra to us. Most relaxing vacation ever. Really. -We didn't feel like we had to rush around or get up so early. Being able to walk or take a quick boat ride was awesome. FOTL is the absolute best. Bar none. We loved it. Kinda makes you feel special, just walking in like that. The only ride that I had any kind of wait for was dueling dragons--but I think the FOTL entrance was a little confusing.

If it's not going to break the bank, I say STAY ON SITE! We are trying HRH in December. Can't wait.

When in January are you going? That might help to decide if you need FOTL. Also, in the slower times, the room rates will go down.

However, whether or not one actually needs FOTL, the convenience of being able to walk back to your hotel anytime one wants or to wander into Citywalk for dinner is worth the extra bucks for us.

I'm just not feeling the $900.00 extra to stay on site plus breakfast cost. We are going the end of January and I'm not too worried about long lines after what I experienced at Thanksgiving last year......lack of lines compared to other parks I have visited.
