You can gym hop at all the DVC resorts. To me the best gyms are
saratoga springs and the beach club's. Have your son check them out they
both have steam rooms (saratoga has it in a separate section and they charge a small fee, he would have to ask) this is perfect for the winter rainy days(Summer?????). Beach clubs steam room (and hot tub) is in the gym.
Both places have access to running trails.
Have a great time.
Make sure he goes early and he will be fine. The equipment is updated, but it is an extremely small space. The dumbell section is the hardest to deal with. There is only one bench and this can become very frustrating...I went every morning before 7 and it was deserted.

The issue is, it is still in the same location and it is cave-like and small. The ceilings are low and there are zero windows. Mirrors cant help a really small space, it has house of mirrors effect.
This was the issue that bothered me. I went pre-renovation and they had cardio equipment arranged so that my head literally stuck up into a section of the ceiling that was higher than the rest. Don't know if they changed that or not.
I will say they had enough equipment that I could get a good workout, even if it was a very small room.
There are some pictures here, but I think they're pre-renovation:

Staying at BLT this summer and my 20 year old son likes to go to the gym everyday. How is the gym at the Contemporary (as I know BLT does not have its own) and is "gym hopping" allowed (probably not right)?
Thanks.
Thanks for the photos...I will show him. Can I ask....by pre-renovation does that mean that it should be BETTER now lol!?
