Does anyone know what the resort policies are for having food delivered to your room from an off property restaurant?

I've seen pizza being delivered at every single resort I've stayed in. Doesn't seem to be a problem.
The one thing I have noticed (esp at AKL) is that the person who ordered is always waiting outside. Maybe the Pizza Place requests that?????
