Resorts BOOKED Weeks before and after Easter!

Wow. I have never ever experienced this one before. DH and I decided to jump down to WDW for a few days during Spring Break and I called CRO and after being on hold for 23 minutes I couldnt find ANY rooms at ANY resorts (besides the $1500 a nite suites) for 3 nites the week before or after Easter.

I checked a few of the off property places we have stayed before (Comfort Inn LBV and all 3 hotels in Marriott village) and they were all booked up too.

Yikes! Am I nuts to still want to go when I know it is obviously going to be so crowded? I really don't want to spend $100+ a nite for a room off-property (or even in DTD).

It has been like that for weeks...I tried to get a room for friends on March 30 and couldn't find anything a few weeks ago...good luck

This year Easter falls out in March instead of April,which puts the weeks around it in Spring Break time for all the school districts that have Spring Break in March instead of Easter week. Palm Beach County spring break is March 21-25, for example. Most southern states begin school in August and end in May and have earlier spring breaks then up North.

I have been trying to add days to our trip for March 20 and I finally was able to get one day at CSR for the 19 of March. I will have to change resorts, but I don't think it will be a problem. Just keep on calling and maybe something will turn up. I was also not willing to pay rack rate so it was harder to find deals. I wanted the Fl res. discount. I think he told me yesterday that they had a couple of rooms at a value for rack rate.

yup, was told they have ASMu at rack $120 something available starting 3/28. This was this AM when I called to see if I could get into POP a day sooner.

WDW is solid booked for the week March 28-April 2! The only thing is available is Poly Concierge for about $600 a nite!! Oouch!!
