Resort Welcome for my kids?

The planning is done and the money is paid! We leave for our first trip to WDW in just 25 days!!! I am wondering if the Onsite Resort "gift shops" would perhaps help me out with something? If I were to call direct to the Gift Shop & had a little something special waiting in our room when we check in for my two boys? An "I'm so glad you're here" gift from "Mickey"? Do they take special requests like this? Anyone have any experience with this one? We're staying @ PO Riverside....thanks!

First, welcome to the DIS.
Second, if you call the hotel and talk to a CM (cast member) and tell them what you are trying to do, they are usually quite good about assisting you.
How old are your boys?

Or, you could get giftsofalifetime.com to deliver something - they have a websit with all kinds of individual items or baskets and they deliver to all Disney hotels. Also, you may want to try the disney florist - they have a website too and do much more than just flowers!

Just be aware that more than likely they won't be able to place it in your room before you check in.

Before you get there if another guest requests a different room they could get yours and your gifts.

I would set it up that maybe they put something in the room while you are out to dinner or the parks the first day.
