Can anyone tell me a little bit about the resort wake up calls?? I know they used to have mickey call you but now i thought i heard they have a whole bunch of different characters that would call (recordings obviously) with a special good morning... Does anyone know which different ones they offer now?? Thanks!

We used a wake up call every morning. The first day there was nothing at the other end. The rest of the time I truly don't remember who talked first (I was still a little foggy), then Stitch screams in your ear (sorry...I am NOT a Stitch fan) and then Mickey talks. I prefer the old ones when Mickey was the only one who talked.

Just remember Mickey, though I have heard of Stitch now being added. There are sometimes Birthday morning calls from different characters which have to be requested.

Its still the horrible Stitch ones! They need to get rid of those!

We've been back since Aug 30, and we used wake up calls every morning. They would first start out with Pirates of the Carribean music or IASW music something subtle and then Stitch would start his rant and then Mickey would join in to apologize for Stitch. I have to admit of the nine days there those are the only two songs I can remember, but I certainly remember Stitch! So I guess he does do his job and WAKE US up!!

"NO SLEEPING!"

Yeah, that Stitch wake-up needs to go. They've had it on there for more than a year. How hard is it to record a new wake-up message every once in a while?

It was Stitch when i was there in October 05-I have to confess I found it very funny:sad2: I agree a few new ones would be nice though-I bet Tim Allen and Tom Hanks aren't too busy at the moment.....

I just got back Saturday 9/8 and I'm another one who's not a fan of Stitch and his "No Sleeping!" I even wrote Disney a letter of complaint about Stitch's attitude ordering me around versus Mickey and his friendly "Up and at 'em, Pal" Mickey made me feel so welcome, he made me want to get up and see the "Big doins'" at the park and I knew he was looking forward to seeing me "real soon." Disney never replied for some reason-I guess they thought I was some crazy lady. Go figure! I really liked Mickey. Anyways, in answer to the OP, I wish there'd been a choice of characters waking me up, but alas, always Stitch!

I wish it would alternate in the mornings. Maybe you could program it based on the park you were going to in the morning. LIke in Magic Kingdom it could be Peter Pan saying "Off to Neverland!", Epcot could be Nemo or Figment; Disney Studios would have to be Mickey; and the Animal Kingdom could be a Lion's Roar or Elephant Trumpet and then Timon and Phumba.

I like Stitch too, but it may be a bit too much!

I despise the NO SLEEPING Stitch wake-up call. I think I first heard it around the time Stitch's ride opened. I thought it was cute then, because I thought it was temporary.

I miss Mickey sooo much. :sad1:

Hmm, we returned on 9/4 and Mom usually took our wake up calls. One morning I grabbed the phone and couldn't make it out, but thought it might be Woody from Toy Story. There seemed to be something western about the voice. We were at CBR, anyone else?

My nephew got a bday call from Goofy. Carl, the greeter a the Contemporary played it for him in the lobby. Made my boy feel really important that he was getting a call at the big hotel, from Goofy no less! That was spontaneous magic based on chatting with my nephew after seeing his bday button.

On our first trip in 2005, we had the Stitch wake up which my kids happen to love. I also like Stitch. I guess we are a little biased now because this has such great memories for us! 5 Trips later and we still look forward to Stitch waking us up. NO SLEEPING!!:rotfl2:
