Hello everyone!

my ADR date is coming up soon and while going over my ADR list I realize we have a whole other day outside the parks that I might need to make ADR's for. We already have a day in Disney springs so I was thinking we may explore Resort dining options. We don't know much about dining at the Resorts since we stay offsite most of the time.

We are both pretty adventurous eaters and looking to not break the bank. We are ok with a pricer menu if the Restaurant food and atmosphere justifies the price.

I was hoping to hear some recommendations that can help us decide on if we should explore this option.

Thanks!

For adventurous eaters, I think the best bet is Sanaa, at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It is very good. If you do a lunch/late lunch, you can see animals out the windows.

The Wave at the Contemporary Resort is a hidden gem that gets ignored because it's in the same building as Chef Mickey and Cali Grill.

I would second Sanaa...we have yet to eat there, but I am trying to get there on our next trip in 2017! I just love the pics from it and I have heard nothing but good things about it! Also I will recommend Kona Cafe for breakfast at the Poly...Its not very pricey and their food is really good (I love the Tonga Toast) plus they have really good coffee (I am a major coffee fanatic, LOL). Also Beaches & Cream is a quaint little soda shop with really really good ice cream. But it is kind of small, my advice to u for there if you want to try their ice cream and are resort hopping for the day then maybe head over there and use there take out window and sit on the patio. Beach Club is a gorgeous resort and just to walk around there eating some ice cream is awesome!

I heard great things about Sanaa and Beaches & Cream. My Best friend raves about Cali Grill but from the menu I'm not impressed. Is Cali Grill that awesome?

never eaten at cali grill bc honestly the menu doesn't look appetizing to me lol...but hear if u time your adr with wishes its amazing...to me i would rather go to the lounge for a drink and watch wishes than eat there bc the menu doesn't impress me.

Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge is a fun place to eat if the menu appeals to you. We ate there in January and the food was very good.

Well, I have been to Sanaa a number of times, and yes, I highly recommend it. It's especially good for adventurous eaters though we don't find the flavor profiles to truly be all that exotic (assorted curries mostly). I also very highly encourage you to try their na'an bread service--if you do the full service (5 breads and 9 sauces), it's a meal unto itself especially if paired with one of their tasty wines or bar drinks. Price-wise, we think it's one of the best values in the World, and the service has always been excellent.

Another vote for Sanaa - go during daylight hours so you can see the animals. I enjoyed lunch there

Love Sanaa and B&C. And I just went to Cali for the first time and it was to die for. It's my very fave place, now, at WDW. But I went with SIL and BIL and DH is el cheapo and will NEVER go there with me, so I will not likely get to go back. I'd recommend if you don't mind the prices there.

Whispering Canyon, for a more casual place, is really good. Boma, if Sanaa is too adventurous for you, as it's a buffet and has a ton of good stuff. Ohana used to be a must do for us but the past couple times we've been disappointed. But I think it's 2 things: 1- we have been doing late meals there, like 9:45pm and I think they are just behind and tired....2- we had TIW card and would tell them up front and then they knew they'd get 18% automatic tip no matter how good they do. So maybe go earlier and if you have any discount plan that has automatic tip, don't tell them until after.

Sanaa, The Wave

I would go with Boma at AKL for dinner. For a breakfast either Captain's Grille at YC, WCC at WL, or Trail's End Buffet at FW. For lunch Beaches and Cream at BC.
