Hi,
We will be staying at POP for a "quick" Disney fix from Dec 6-8. We have 2 crazy days planned that will involve some park hopping as well as return to hotel for swim etc. Dec 7 we plan to do early entry at MGM then return to POP for afternoon siesta before going to MK for MVMCP.
With this in mind do you think we would be better off to drive to the parks or use the Disney buses?

Thanks for any ideas!

The buses for the POP rock!! they plentiful and very reliable. Have you ever driven around WDW before b/c if not you might spend a lot of time getting "misplaced" as my DH calls it and might be better off sticking to the buses.

No...this will be our first time at Disneyworld...lots of trips to Disneyland as we are on the west coast
...so you think we should stick to the buses....we want to enjoy the benefits of early entry so how early do the buses leave from Pop
Thanks for the help!

The buses leave in plenty of time for Early Entry! Definitely plan on taking the buses, especially since this is your first time in the World - you will get lost driving yourself to the parks! LOL! :teeth:

Another vote for the busses. Driving around WDW is a MAJOR pain.

For EMH at MGM, definitely take the bus. Parking for the MK can also be a pain, since you still have to take a ferry or monorail to the MK. The busses will drop you off at the gate. We had a bad experience waiting for Pop busses after MK close in July, but it was on a Friday night during a busier time of the year. (If you want to drive to the MK, get a PS for dinner at the Contemporary and park there. Dinner parking passes are only for 2-3 hours, but if they are not at capacity, they may not enforce the time limit.)

Rental cars are probably best for going to a water park, another resort or offsite.

We're getting a rental for our trip, but we only really plan to use it to drive from MCO to CSR back to MCO. We figure for about $20 more, we can get to WDW quicker than a shuttle. Plus, on our last day, we can drive to a park or DTD and not have to leave early to catch a bus to catch the shuttle back to the airport.

We need our rental car for the rest of our vacation and a shuttle for six people is so expensive. Plus we get a cheaper rate for the rental car for the weekly rate. We will have the car regardless. Looks like we will leave it parked at the Pop for a few days unless we decide to eat outside of the parks.
Thanks for the information
