We are going to add 2 nights at AOA LM room prior to our AKV stay. We will not have transportation. How do I go about luggage transfer? :confused3

Disney will transfer your luggage for you,but most Guests think it is better to just take a taxi and transfer your luggage yourself.:)

We've done the resort transfer. Just take it to bell services then go enjoy your day. When you arrive at your second resort, your bags should be there.

not really.

sometimes you are told that your luggage won't be there until after 3pm or 4pm for values and DVC

other times you are told nothing - and at times your luggage is there when you call for it.

that say always prepare for it to be after 5pm (for us it was never that late) - so pack a backpack with any medicines, sun screen, bathing suites, etc - that you might need.

then take a bus to either a park near you now or near where you will be - then take a bus to new place and check in. then go back to the parks and have a good time.

You can also call bell services when you're ready to go and they will come to your room and get then for you :)

Just got back two weeks ago ,first week at Beach club and for the second week moved to the Treehouse Villas Called bell service the morning I checked out they came and got my bags and they were delivered at about 2:30 pm they transfer bags from 1 till 3 every day . Easy :thumbsup2 enjoy

We are doing a split stay in December and are going to take a cab and move our luggage ourselves. WE are staying club level so if our room is not ready we can leave our luggage with bell services and hit the lounge for a quick bite before heading to the park

The value resorts have "luggage assistance," not "bell services." Bell services pretty much come when you call. Luggage assistance will not necessarily be able to do that. They will come, but when you call they might say "we'll have someone there in 45 minutes."

We've done this in moving from ASMu to BWV where we took our bags to luggage assistance and our bags were at BWV when we got there at 4:30 after doing park stuff. Moving from Pop to FW, I just took a cab with all our bags. Both work fine.

When you are ready to leave AoA for the day, take your bags with you. Drop them off at Luggage Assistance rather than wait for them to come to you. Don't plan on seeing your bags for awhile. I have yet to have my bags delivered to me before 5pm. I've done the resort to resort bag transfer about 10 times now....it isn't quick. When moving from BCV to POR? Luggage Assistance had to call BC Bell Services three times before they got my bags to me. I dropped those bags off at BS by 8am. They told me to expect my bags at POR around 1-1:30. Well, that didn't happen. So, I called down to LA about 2:30..nothing. I walked over there at 4. They had called BC BS around 3 and were told that they had gotten busy. But still nothing at 4. They made another call. They called me, in my room, around 5, saying that they had called BC again, and they were going to truck my bags over shortly. Well, there was a knock on my door at 5:45!! My luggage had finally arrived. And the poor CM refused my tip! He said he was not accepting a tip for the kind of service I had received. I felt awful since I had tipped ($5 for 2 bags) at BC!!!

So, be sure to understand that your bags won't get to you for a fairly long time. If they do make it by 1, you'll be thrilled.
Of course, you can take a cab to the next resort, with your bags, and then leave the bags with Bell Services until your room is ready. Yes, a little more expensive but at least you'll have your bags handy!!

Your experience is why a lot of Guests do just go ahead and use a taxi-takes the uncertainity out of when Guests will get their luggage.:)
