If Im right, and you are at your resort, and you have ressies for dinner at another resort, you have to catch a bus to a park and the catch another bus to that resort?

on the resort that you are staying at and the resort you are eating at. Monorail resorts will be able to go from resort to resort for dining without having to go to a park first, or perhaps they might have to change monorails at the TTC if they are in MK v. Epcot and need to get to a resort in Epcot v. MK. The same will hold true for some resorts that have boat access. It all depends on where you are coming from and where you are going.

Sorry I don't know the answer. We are driving so we will have our car. Even with our car I tried to book TS at the park that we would be at that day or at hotels that we could visit using the monorail since we would be at the MK some days.

Even driving in your own car takes time I can't imagine trying to catch buses.

Which two resorts?

i.e. you can monorail the MK resorts (except WL - which has a resort launch). You can walk between the Epcot area resorts.

When its "bus to park (or DTD) then bus to resort" - we always take a cab.

I prefer to take a taxi when I am dining at another resort (if I don't have a car). It takes way too much time to use Disney's transportation to go from resort to resort.

If you don't have a car then you have the option to use WDW transportation, which will often mean getting a bus to a park, to then get a bus to the resort you want to visit. Another option, as someone mentioned, is to take a cab. A lot quicker and usually not that costly.

I only dine at resort restaurants if they are convenient to a park. Then I will eat before the park day or after it.

I refuse to have to take a cab (I usually have a rental anyway) just for dining purposes. I will only use the buses to eat only if it's on the way/close proximity to a park.

When we had reservations at Beach Club for breakfast, we just took a taxi. The tax ride from Pop Century to Beach Club was only 8.25 and only took about 10 minutes. Best $10 I spent at Disney!! I had called the taxi 30 minutes ahead of time thinking it would take them a while to get there. When we went outside about 10 minutes early, he was there waiting on us. Apparently they're located very close.

Oh, and if you have an early breakfast at Contemporary, Polynesian or Grand Floridian, if you catch the first bus, it will take you directly to the hotel. They did for us last summer anyway.
