I plan on switching resorts at 7 month mark. I plan on getting a studio room. Still trying to decide which resort. Beach Club or Boardwalk or Wilderness Lodge. Have not stayed at either ones. Our stay will be in mid November. Any thoughts? Pros/Cons?? TIA

We have stayed at both BCV and BWV and enjoyed both. BCV has more food options. We enjoyed the pool at BWV better. IMO you can't go wrong with either.

I can't comment on VWL as we haven't stayed there yet but will be in September.

I've stayed at Wilderness Lodge and Boardwalk, and I love both. I think both offer a lot, but they are different. I think I would first choose which park you plan on spending more time at, EPCOT or Magic Kingdom. If Magic Kingdom, go with Wilderness Lodge (the boat is a nice way to get to the park). If EPCOT, I would go with Beach Club or Boardwalk (I would probably choose Beach Club because I haven't stayed there, but I love the Boardwalk - the acts out on the boardwalk are great).

Just pick one and go for it. You will have plenty of years to stay at all of the resorts many times.

Epcot's Food and Wine festival runs through mid November making BC/BW studios very difficult to get. We went last year over Veteran's Day weekend and let me tell you, it was the hardest 4 night stay I have ever tried to piece together! Tons going on that weekend at WDW so if you are going then be prepared .

As noted, Disney last month announced the extension of Food & Wine until Sunday, Nov 15, this year rather than what would have been its usual end date, Nov 8. In the past the time beginning after Food & Wine is over and ending the Thursday before Thanksgiving have been dates when Beach Club or Boardwalk pool/garden view or both had a good chance of being open as the somewhat moderate DVC demand time during an otherwise high DVC demand last quarter. That time would have been Nov 9 through 19 this year but for the change in Food & Wine. Since the announcement of the extension of Food & Wine just last month, BWV pool/garden has beern filling in for time between Nov 8 and 15 although Beach Club has lost only Nov 9. In any event, by 7 months out there is now a real risk of being blocked out of both BWV and Beach Club for a mid-Nov trip. VWL should still have a decent chance of being open.

As far as which one assuming all three are open, be aware that both BCV and BWV are being refurbished this year and the studios are adding the murphy bed to sleep five. That was also a recent change at VWL. It is probable that most or all of the refurbs will be done by mid-Nov although that is not certain. If you are changing to a studio, you could thus get a room that sleeps five but will have a lot less drawer space than they used to have. In any event, if available at all you should have a real chance at either BCV or BWV to get a room recently refurbished. If you have not tried any of the three and all are open at 7 months, you might just want to stick the names in a hat and pull one. My personal choice is BWV but I am biased owner. Moreover, I almost always get boardwalk view, the best view on site, and though the pool/garden views are generally fine they do not compare to boardwalk view (and your chances of getting boardwalk view are slim to none). Staying at boardwalk puts you in close proximity to the main pool, stores and restaurants while both Beach Club and VWL require you to walk to the main hotel area for those. If best pool is a key factor, however, BCV's Stormalong Bay has no equal. If you have a car and nearness of parking to your room is an issue, BCV always wins. If being close to MK and also to Fort Wilderness and Hoop Dee Doo is preferred, VWL is obviously the place.

I've stayed at all 3, and if you can, I recommend BCV.

Thanks to all. I know it will be a long shot but I will try for BCV first then BWV. We arrive on tail end of F&W Fest. Hoping some will switch to Poly

You should have your preference list but realize that not all options may be available when you go to book. Then day 1 reserve the first option on your list that's available and establish a wait list for your 2 top options. For me personally it would be BWV standard, BWV BW view, BWV preferred, BCV then VWL. All are good options, I'd put VWL to the top if concentrating on MK or if it were better for my restaurant reservations. BWV will have the most dedicated studios even accounting for size.
