Resort Swap Final Listing, Details & Progress Thread DUE 7/24/06 - updated 7/29/06

I should have said something sooner - I did PM some of you - I've been in swaps with her (the hostess), not with her as the hostess, but with her as a swapper and she had been MIA and we just got our swaps back without her stuff

I hope this doesn't discourage anyone from participating in other swaps. I've been in several and nothing like this has ever happened before. They've all gone, for the most part, very smoothly.

Don't feel that way- you invested time and money into this! You have every right to be upset for not receiving what you were supposed to. Frankly, if I were in your shoes, I'd be downright While I understand that sometimes life gets in the way, I feel there should be no excuses at this point for not having them mailed. JMHO

For me to even get to WDW is a major undertaking (flying is the only option) so I've only got one album queued up waiting on this stuff, but I'm sure you "locals" have an album per year you need to get through! I think I'll just take mine forward now and write this off - I wish I'd kept my own set of stuff instead of sending it off to make it easier for Bigsis1970 to sort out the outward packages.

Still nothing here either. And no you are not whinning! I'm very disappointed about all this. I sent my stuff priority mail with return priority mail postage. i know that she had a loss of a close friend, but this is just not right. I busted my butt to get my stuff in on time. My father passed away in August and I am doing the swaps I signed up. It is good for me to have a creative diversion. If I didn't I be more depressed.

I guess I need to chalk this up as a learning experience. Rats!

Just got off the phone with my DH and he has confirmed that my box came also. Says "resort swap" on it. I'll be home late tomorrow to check it all out. I've checked the sign up list and I am not in MazdaUk group or I would have been very willing to send out that group.
If someone in the Coronado Springs wants to send theirs to Mazda, I be willing to trade (a)Contempory and Port Orleans French Quarter, (b)Boardwalk, or (c)AllStar Movies and AllStar Sports in exchange.

Hopefully mine are on the way now (I've had no replies to the PM I sent the hosstess - not even a read receipt - but perhaps things are moving now!). I really don't want anyone to be out of swaps or out of pocket on my account - unless of course you've too much stuff for your project

I signed up for all those resorts with the intent that we would visit some of them when we were there. We never did visit them, so these won't be missed in any future project I work on.

ETA-I still haven't seen these elements yet, so I really don't know what I'm offering here. But I'm sure they are good.

I've had a PM from bgisis1970's sister (using bigsis' account) saying my parcel went global priority on Saturday.

She said she posted all the others then as well except for "Darlene" - can you PM bigsis with your address.

I'll let you know when anything arrives.

I finally had a chance to look through everything. Wow, what great stuff. And just for the record, bigsis1970 did finish all the elements in my groups. I am not missing any pieces. I can't wait to start using them.

I'm not sure if Royal Mail in the UK is faster than the mail in Canada, but there were packages in other exchanges that took a minimum of 11 business days, and one group of packages took 20 days. And those were sent by air mail, not ground which of course would take longer.

I live in New York and was sending a package to Canada, just up and over the border from NY and it took 2 weeks.

The USPS website says Global Priority mail will take 4-6 days, and I'm sure that is "business days." So if it was sent on Saturday the 14th, today would be the first day you could really expect it, and through Monday would still be in the window.
