Resort Room Credit Card Holds

Hi,
Any Canadians have any experience with the new daily credit card holds at the resorts that started up in Jan? Sounds like extra holds added for every $100 charged to the rooms. Just wondering how that’s working out for FX fees and exchange rates?

We went at the end of January and I didn't notice anything weird on my CC.

It didn’t start until near the end of Feb. We were there family day weekend and it hadn’t been implemented yet. We are going back at Easter, and hope to hear some Cdn reports before then.

We were there March 3-13. You don't have to worry about the FX until the charge goes through so no real difference other than if you're there for more than 5 days they'll put a charge through then. So we had 2 chargers go through, after day 5 and after the end of our trip. There's a good thread going on about the new system over in the "resorts" threads.
