Resort Reservation for 4/Dining Reservation for 8?

We are going WDW for Thanksgiving...My very good friend is going at the same time...We decided to have dinner together...We both are staying on property the same dates...I am in charge of making the ADR for dinner...I plan to get online at 6:00 AM at the 90 day mark to book the Thanksgiving dinner first....So here is my question....

Can I use my resort reservation # to book the 8 party table even though we are a party of 4 online???....OR do I need her resort # also to provide to CM over the phone to make the reseveration?

This is a new one for me...Please advise

I had reservations for my family and another with no problems! WE are a party of 4 being joined by a party of 2 and there was no problem getting tables for 6 online or by calling in

I did the same thing last year with no problem at all. You should be good to go!
