Well here it is the end of August and I just found out that my parents will join me to go to WDW for their 1st time.
Now my dilemma!
The reservations available are very limited needless to say.
I have been on all sites looking to see what was available on what nights. This is what I have come up with as of this very moment.
I would have to do a split stay to my dislike. I can't afford a whole week at a deluxe for 3 ppl.

CBR 9-12
POP 9-11
ASMO 9-12
POFQ 9-11
POR 9-11
AKL 9-13
POLY 9-11
SSR, OKW, BWI AND VILLAS, BC, YC THE WHOLE TIME AVAILABLE 9-15

So my question to you all is this:
If this was your vacation how would you configure these dates.
I have never done a split vaction either so I will need help with this too. Who should I book this trip with. Should I call wdw direct to help with the tickets and room bookings since I will need to make 2 seperate ressies.
Also, what resorts are nicer in the deluxe categories I have listed above.
ASMO how is it there? I have only been to POP.
Any help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:confused3

Hi... I would love to help but Im a little confused on how you have the dates listed...When is the first day of your stay and when would you have to split it? Is anything booked yet?

The days that I have listed such as 9-12 is the days that the hotels have an available room.
I was looking to go for the 10th but may do the 9th as our 1st day there.
Nothing is booked yet.
I would have to split the stay because I can't get a full weeks stay at a value or a moderate resort.
For example if we check in on the 9th we could stay at ALMO from the 9th to the 12th. Then check into new hotel like say BWI from the 12th to the 15th.

Sorry, its so confusing for me right now. I have to get this booked by later today before everything sells out.

Thanks!

:rotfl: Now I understand... :)
A couple of things.... Have you looked into the Swan or Dolphin? They are having great specials right now... Also, when you called and looked into the Deluxes, did you use any codes or did they give you flat rates?!? I know booking a deluxe at a regular rate is crazy... but when you have a code or some kind of special it helps out alot. Also have you thought about staying at a DTD resort?

As for a split say... For staying a week- it seems like it would be SO hectic but it can be done... so no worries.. and you get to experience two hotels rather then just one. :) (always a plus).....
If it were me and the choices that I listed above were also out ... then I would want to book a resort that started on the 9th and lasted as long as it could... with your options that would either be AKL/ CBR/ or ASMO 9-12... then switch over... this way the fewer days are spent at a more expensive resort...

As for booking it... try Dreams unlimited... if you dont have any codes, they will search them out for you... as well as them looking all over and you wont get stressed out...
I hope this helped. Please come back and tell me how it went cause I would like to know what the end result was... popcorn::

Good Luck... :grouphug:

Well here are my results!
Was able to stay at POP (Pref. room) from Sept 10 to the 14th.

Then booked the Poly (Room Only Gdn View) for 1 night the 14th to 15th.

I booked through the wdw reservation's and they were ever so helpful.

Will be making another post on room requests shortly.

Any hints on where to stay in these locations for me?
Thanks again!!!!

I am so happy that everything worked out for you :cool1: and I am glad that the CM was very helpful... (dont you love it when they wish you a magical day! ).... Your reservations sounds great from the choices you had. It sounds like they really helped you in every way they could..

As for the preffered room at POP.. The 60s building used to be the only perferred buildings as it is directly across from Classic Hall (food court/giftshop/busses) and it faces the "Hippy Dippy Pool".

Building A in 50s and building B in 70s is closer IF you get the end that is nearest to Classic Hall. Recently Disney has started referencing some rooms in those buildings as preferred recognizing the pool wasn't always the important factor. 50s having an advantage over 70s as it has its own quite pool.

I also linked a pop thread for you... (if you get a chance to read them)

Thank you so much for all your help and information!

I am truly so excited to be going with my parents for their 1st and probably only time to WDW. :woohoo: :yay: :cheer2:

Since I didn't have a ton of money I was glad we were able to do my favorite deluxe resort THE POLY! Even if it's only one night. :thumbsup2

I love POP too and that's way I was in a frenzy when I thought it was sold out completely.

I think I am going to request the 50's building closest to Classic Hall. I am going to tell them that this is my parents 1st time there and that my mom has difficulties with walking long distances. Hopefully we'll get it. :scared:

The Poly I am still looking into which building would be best for a garden view. I am hoping they will give us an upgrade for that 1 night since it's their 1st time there.

I will probably post a travel report once I get back to reality too!

Thanks Again!!!!
