Resort Refurbishments....

Of all of the resorts, when was it opened, the last refurb (new look), the last "refresh" (same look, replaced items) and when is it scheduled for its next refurbs and refreshes?

Grand Floridian est. 1988- last room rehab 2007
POP est. 2003- rehab 2010
Animal Kingdom (Lodge Jambo) est. 2001- next rehab?

Can anyone fill in the rest?

The CBR rooms were refurbed in 2008. The pool was totally redone too. Can't remember the exact dates though. Hopefully somebody can chime in with the exact info.

It was in the late summer. I've seen pictures from July 2008 with the refurbed rooms and we went in August 2008 and had a room that hadn't been refurbed yet.

From what I've read, OKW has not started yet, so refurb date would probably be 2011.

BWV is 2010. If they are not finished, they have only a handful of villas left.

Did WL open in 1994? I think CBR or CSR was 1998. The Alll-Stars were late 90s as well. They really expanded at that time.

Does anyone know if Disney has a set schedule for refurbs and refreshes or is it just "as needed"?

I know they have a cycle based on the number of years - every certain number of years the hotel gets a complete makeover or refurbishment. Then halfway between refurbs, they do a refresh where they touch up and replace things that are broken. I think it's every 6 years for refurb and 3 years for refresh, but I'm not positive about 6 being the right number of years. So for example, if it is every six years, a hotel will have a schedule like this:

2006 - Refurb
2009 - Refresh
2012 - Refurb
2015 - Refresh
etc.

Obviously the still fix things that break in other years, but those are the big fixing times. They may also have some flexibility in the schedule too - for example, let's say Grand Floridian is next in line to be refurbed and then Contemporary is after that, but they think Contemporary needs it more, they might choose to do the Contemporary first.
