Resort Question

We are traveling to DW next August. Several years ago when we visited we went to the boardwalk and really enjoyed it. Can someone tell me the resorts within walking distance? Isn't one of the resorts also within walking distance to Epcot. We will be traveling with a five and twelve year old so a cool pool would be a big plus!!!!

Beach Club... best pool on property. walk to Epcot or boat/walk to DHS. Its an upbeat resort. movies on the beach. clambakes, etc.....we almost picked it this time still may if we can switch at our dates with a good room discount to BC or YC.

BTW Yacht Club shares the pool(stormalong bay). very nice resort and better balconies. Some kids just dont like it. Balconies at BC can be walk-outs only= 50% !!!

Boardwalk Inn is fun but no food inside resort(although options are right outside front door) and pool is just so so.....

All 3 resorts views are bookable.... water/bay view is the most for std rooms. BUt is the most awesome in the evenings.

Be aware that up to 5 resorts can share buses to MK or AK.

Sounds like the yacht and beach club is just what you are looking for. It has stormalong bay and you can walk to Epcot an dhs

The Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk Inn, Swan & Dolphin are all withing walking distance to Epcot and DHS (although Swan/Dolphin are not Disney owned). If you're looking for something other than an Epcot resort, you can walk to MK from the CR.

The resorts on the boardwalk are The Boardwalk, The Beach Club and the Yacht Club. Also, the Swan and Dolphin (not a Disney resort) is located in that same area. All of the above are in walking distance to Epcot. They are all deluxe resorts. It is a beautiful area! The Boardwalk and Beach Club would be the closest to Epcot equally, IMO.

The Grotto pool at the Swan and Dolphin is also pretty neat.

As a PP mentioned, the Grotto pool at the S&D is very neat and the hotel is killer. It shares bus service with the other Epcot resorts (depending on crowds and really, its been pretty rare due to the S&D being last pickup) to the parks but rarely has to share on the way back, or with only 1 resort. It does not participate in Disney Dining but you do get Extra Magic Hours. Disney Dining doesn't work for the way DH and I eat so its not been an issue for us after we tried it once.

Both the Beach and Yacht Club are in walking distance of Epcot! You can't go wrong staying at either. They're both amazing with awesome pool! It just depends on your prefrence.. The Yacht Club is a nautical theme with rich darker woods & the Beach Club is like staying at a sea side lighter colored decor resort.. But they are both Deluxe resorts so just to keep that in mind as far as the budget goes

Love the Beach Club, and also love The Boardwalk. Pool(s) at Boardwalk, though not as stunning as the pool at Yacht and Beach Club, are more than good...they are very good and enjoyable, nice slide in main pool for all to enjoy. Boardwalk activity easy walk from Beach Club, Yacht Club or Swan and Dolphin. Will say pool area is cool at Swan and Dolphin, but here is difference...at Swan and Dolphin there are more adults with "soft drinks" in their hands while in the water. Been to all, and we love Boardwalk for the night time, etc. but we also enjoy Beach Club and walk over to the Boardwalk in minutes to experience the entertainment, atmosphere, etc. in the evening.
