has anyone done this? Is it worth it?
I see that there are several resort locations...are they just general scenery photos, or would someone be able to tell what resort you are at?
Im considering the one at AKL (where we are staying this trip) and going back to the Poly.

Any suggestions??

We've done this twice (with having the Photopass cd purchase) and it was great! We had the best experience at the Grand Floridian. Maybe because more than 1/2 of it was inside so we weren't so hot the whole time. The pics from our session at the Wilderness Lodge, well, we're all glistening!
I love them and want to do it again.
I think that with the fact that you can get them on a cd with a release for printing makes them a great deal.
Like I said though, I preferred the pictures from the Grand Floridian vs. Wilderness Lodge (and I really liked WL). They took great pics of my older two in windows there. Still some of my favorite pics ever of the kids.

I wish we did this our last trip. Oh well, there's always next time! :sad1:

We had them done at GF. Wonderful pictures, and sure worth the $. We also had some of the best pictures in the windows of the resort. As well as some nice family pictures done on the beach. In fact, they are still hanging on my walls. :)

We had some done at GF and loved them. Here are a few for example.:thumbsup2 Let me know if you want to see more!

We did the more expensive package at Epcot. While I thought the photographer was very nice, I was somewhat disappointed when I received the photos. In fact, I have yet to order any of them. There are 3 that I really loved, but I honestly expected more for what I paid. It took us over an hour to take them and she was sweet about taking us all over WS but she wasn't great with the kids...and I have a lot of kids. They knew that when I made the reservation, so I really don't understand why they wouldn't send someone who was experienced with kids to take the photo. :confused3 She said she was bad at names, so she would always say "baby, look over here" and then get annoyed when one of them wouldn't look. But they didn't know who she was talking to! Anyway, I don't want to rip on her, but overall, I was disappointed and it wasn't cheap. I think I paid $350 and that doesn't include a cd or the photos. (We do get a book but I haven't gotten that yet). Good luck. Maybe the mini seasons are better.

I have done a mini session at the Poly and the pictures were great. Tropical and beach backgrounds. We are doing it again at the Poly on our next trip. IMHO it is a great deal. Hoping we will get some great pics this time too.

How/Where do you sign up to do this and find out the costs? Sounds like it could be fun and worthwhile!

We did one at the beach club last trip and LOVED it!! We did it early in the morning since it was June and wanted to get them in before it was hot and the sun was blinding...so 7:30 I think we did and it was a perfect time!

We have photos in front of the resort (so you could see the front entrance in the photos), we have ones by the lighthouse, by the pirate ship, on the beach with the lake in the background and on the beach with the resort in the background and even some storm along bay in the background photos.

The photographer is fully accomodating, so if you want indoors or outdoors, they will come up with a few things...I think we paid around 125 and got the CD with the printing rights. The CD is available for pickup at the photopass kiosk later that night.

We booked by calling Disney Photo Studios (forgive me I can't remember the number but I did find it back then on the Dis somewhere!)

We've done the photo sessions 4 or 5 times now. Most were at GF for Xmas shots and one was done at the Poly in September. They changed the photography team last year and no longer use Photopass people. We felt that this was a positive change. Nothing against the Photopass photographers but the group they are using now has taken awesome pictures of our kids (2 and 5 at the time of the last pictures).

I believe they start taking reservations at almost a year out. We called at 180+ days for our trip around Thanksgiving and there wasn't much availability so plan ahead. We like to do the pictures in the morning so the kids are fresh and to avoid the afternoon rain showers.
