Resort pools

In doing research, the books I have read stated that if you are a WDW resort guest, you can use any pool at any of the resorts. However, I have read some postings on here, that say differently. Can anyone clear up for me whether or not you can use a pool at a different resort than the one you are staying in?

just so you're aware, don't be surprised if you see HUGE arguments erupt over this.. i believe official disney policy states you're not supposed to resort pool hop.. however, it seems the only pool they check ID's is at SAB at the BC/YC..

You are allowed to pool hop only to a sister resort if you are a guest of that resort. The only resorts I know of are All-Stars for All-Stars, and Port Orleans FQ for Port Orleans Riverside. I'm sure someone will add to this if I have omitted any.

Only DVC members are allowed to pool hop with some restrictions (actually staying in a DVC resort at the time, calling ahead to make sure the pool is not at capacity and not during black out/Holiday periods - and never to SAB and/or YC, BC quiet pools or AKL).

If you are staying at either of the Port Orleans Riverside you can use the pool there or at French Qtr. You can use pools at sister resorts. This is also true at the All-Stars, if you are staying at Sports then you can use the pools at Music or Movies as well.

The books you have are probably old, and not written by WDW, and inaccurate.
