We have stayed at the fort twice and DS(4) loves the kiddie slide that splashes into a little bit of water not like the big pool slide that he would go under water at the bottom. Does anyone know of any other Disney resorts that have a slide like the kiddie slide at the fort or are they all like the forts big pool slide?

The Caribbean Beach Resort has a great water play area for younger kids with a few slides like the one you described at the fort. My kids loved it!

My first trip to the fort is in January, so I can't wait to check it all out!!!!

I second this, Caribbean Beach has a pirate themed water play area with shallow water that is so much fun! Word of warning: it isn't heated, so if you are visiting in the off season it is VERY cold.

Oh, and we're hoping to visit the fort for the first time in January too! We are waiting for input from my in-laws, if they decide to join us we will make reservations at the Fort, if not, we'll probably just stay at one of the values. We've never stayed at a value resort before, so either way our plans go, it'll be an adventure. Can you tell I'm excited about our upcoming trip? It'll be my 3year old's first visit.
