Resort pin trading?

last trip I staid at pofq and they had pin trading @5pm every night ha two trading boards one in checkin lobby another in gift shop does any body know that other resorts offer pin trading boards and at what times?

That was stoped there 2 years ago. Now it's held once a month on the 3rd Friday at the Contemporary in one of the convention center rooms, from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM.

I know SSR had pin trading (one huge board) twice while we were there in September, I am not sure of the days. Perhaps you could contact the resorts to find out when it is offered?

OP's siggy shows they were there in September of this year. So perhaps new pin events are being started up again.

If you take a look at the link which 05MM08MM posted, you will see the only WDW Resort which takes part in pin trading activties is the Contemporary and it's always the 3rd Friday of every month.

There was a sign in the lobbby of POFQ when I was there Sept/Oct advertising the pin trading event. It was exactly like the OP said, every night at 5:00 pm.

I wanted to stop by at least once to check it out but was never around at that time.

We stayed in late August at POFQ, and DD was able to trade on two different occasions at the 5 PM event.

Wow, looks like there are definitely new pin events besides at the Contemporary now. Nice to see it pick up a bit and have it be at different resorts too.

I think there are some differences in what happens at POFQ, then what happens at the Contemporary. At POFQ I think it's just one big trading board for guests to trade off, where as the Contemporary gets regular pin traders who bring their own pins and trade with other guests. They also have a kids trading area in if they are between 6 and 12 years old.

At the gift shop counter in OKW they keep a board behind the register desk. Just ask to see the pin board. It is a well kept secret, or umm, it was until this post.

Thanks for the info. But no one stated that what goes on at the Contemporary is the same as what goes on at other resorts. No one's debating you on that fact. I was under the impression the OP was simply inquiring about general pin activities, pin boards, etc, and that's what most of us are replying about.

Does anyone know if they still have the pin board at the cart at Wilderness Lodge? I think they may have stopped that, but not quite sure.

And for those who have attended the pin activities at the other resorts mentioned, what exactly were those like. They sound like fun.

I think what's been going at the other Resorts is just the pin boards showing up at the various Resort stores and nothing else.
