This may be a silly question but I just want to have all my ducks in a row prior to heading to the happiest place on earth. We booked our stay at CSR online and paid the half required as a down payment using a credit/debit card. However, when we get to the resort to check-in we would prefer to pay the remaining balance using cash and not a card, is this allowed or do u have to use the same method of payment? I know in order to use the resort key as a method of payment u must attach a credit card, but we won't be using that feature. Also, im assuming paying cash means we cannot use the online check in feature? Or do they not collect payment via the web during online check in?

This is our first time staying on property so I rather ask the silly questions and be SURE than deal with any issues once we are there. Thanks in advance :)

You can pay your balance due at check-in with cash and not the credit card used to pay the deposit. As long as it is a room only reservation.

If you have booked a package, it must be paid 45 days prior to arrival. This can be done in installments with a credit card, Disney Gift Card, or mailing a check.

On-line check in has nothing to do with your type of payment or room/package. It is only a way to speed up your check in upon arrival. :thumbsup2

Thank you so much!! We don't have a package as we have AP's, so it's just a room reservation. I appreciate the information :)

You can also buy a pre-paid Visa card in which you would pay cash for and use it to pay the balance before you arrive. I had done this years ago when I surprised my DH with our 1st trip to WDW. I didn't want to use our credit cards b/c he would see the bill when it arrived, this way I paid cash for the Visa and used it to pay for everything for our trip, airfare, new luggage, AP's etc. And there was no trail...:thumbsup2

You can do on-line check-in, but DO NOT put in a credit card. Otherwise, they'll charge your card in full before you get there.

You can also pay with Disney gift cards if you'd like.
