I will be eating dinner at Chef Mickeys at 5pm, followed by the Pirates and Princess party at 7pm. After dinner, should I drive to the MK or leave the rental at the Contemp and walk/monorail it over to the party? Not sure if the crowd will be heavy riding the trams back to the parking lot.

The resorts offer complementary parking for dining, but I was not sure if there is a time limit if you are not staying at that particular resort.

I understand you are only allowed 3 hours parking so I think you will be better off parking at MK:thumbsup2

The resort parking rules during the P&P party are no different than any other time. You are allowed to park at the resort as long as you have business there. Disney doesn't permit parking at a resort while visiting a nearby park.

Does anyone know if the resorts check the time slips in cars for people who just come over to the resort for dinner? We always go to Ohana's and then just walk around the POLY or take the monorail for a ride and mayve spend some time at GF or CR. I was just wondering because we've gotten close to the 3 hrs. mark one year, but not over it.

From what I've read Poly can be strict about this. What a way to ruin a vacation by having your car towed. Poly's parking is already very limited as it is. No flames intended but what about Poly resort guests that are staying there and the other families that need parking so they can eat at Ohana or Kona Cafe.

To the OP just park in MK's lot and take the resort monorail to CR, then head over and enjoy the P & P party. No having to worry about moving the car after dinner. Plus it will help in beating the crowds at 7pm.

Last December during MVMCP the Contemporary very strict about the 3 hour parking limit for guests not staying there, so it would be the same for the P&P Party.

I didn't even think about parking at the MK and going to the CR via monorail. That's a great idea. I would not want to towed during my vacation.

Thanks for the tip!:thumbsup2

I was not aware of the three hour limit. Since I am an uber planner, I will make sure that we park at the MK...go to the CR for dinner....and return to the MK. Glad I straightened that out ahead of time.

Thanks for the feedback!

I can imagine that they would be very strict as that resort is so close to the P&P.
I also saw them turning guests away from parking and this was around times like 9:00 PM and not during a real busy time like between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. However I am sure there were others being turned away at all times if they had no reason to park there.
