If you get a resort mug are you allowed to use it at while visiting other Disney resorts throughout your trip???:confused3 Thanks

Mugs were 12.49 (plus tax I think) when I was there a couple of weeks ago. Mugs are only supposed to be used at the resort you are staying at for the length of your stay.......

Since all the Resorts expect for the Contemporary and Coronado Springs are selling the YOAMD mugs, guests can use them at other Resorts that sell them since there is no way to tell which Resort they were purchased at.

The refillable mugs are $12.50 +/- and are supposed to be used only at the resort in which they are puchased. There are signs above the drink machines with verbage that state this. Still wish I would have gotten a picture of that when were at WL this past October. :)

I noticed this too that most of the resorts are using the same mug design, so I'm not sure if your allowed to or not but you could fill them up anywhere and nobody would tell a differance.

But if your not supposed to, although you could get away with it, I would just stick to the resort you purchased it at.

For sure...

WDW doesn't care, so why should anyone on the DIS? If they did, they would do something about it.

Just back from WL and saw many people using old WL mugs...no one cares.

And to answer the OPs question - yes, you are allowed to use them at other resorts. If you were not allowed then WDW would change the system. We enjoyed using our mugs at the Poly and GF when we ate at their counter service restaurants.

I've even(gasp!!)used old mugs from previous trips at various resorts!!!(Dons flame-retardant suit)

For what it's worth, I agree with those who feel that, if Disney really cared about this issue, they would find some way to enforce it. The mugs do say that they are good for free refills at the resort at which they were purchased for the length of that particular stay. But since Disney has chosen to make all the mugs identical, and since they have failed to implement any method to determine when the mugs were purchased, the logical conclusion would be that they aren't especially concerned about this. Yes, it remains a technical foul and is against the rules, but this seems to be one of those rules honored more in the breach than the observance, apparently with Disney's tacit approval.

The policy is stated at every beverage bar. The mug is good for the length of stay in which you purchased the mug. Since they are the same I don't see a problem.
