Resort Monorail on Ebay!

The local news said the Mark IV "red" Disney resort monorail will be put on the Disney site on Ebay on Monday, with bids starting at $100! This monorail ran from the park opening until 1993, when it was replaced. Imagine having your own Disney monorail system! Who do you think will actually buy it - another amusement park, or an individual (i.e. Michael Jackson, who owns his own personal park)?!

I'd loved to have as a point of interest in my back yard. It would take the place of the screened porch I don't have yet. I could down load the tape from one of my trips on the monorail and play it while we enjoyed our monorail to nowhere. Can you imagine the neighbors, They would really think we were nuts. Our community has a ton of laws about having things in your yard but they don't say anything about a monorail.

I can't help but mention that a toy Disney monorail set sold in the recent past cost considerably more than $100! So the real thing will probably go for more.

yes, I saw that, wouldnt it be great to have a monorail car...
but where in the world would i store it!!!??? LOL!!!

I for one want it.....and have room for it....but it will go for MUCH more than $100!!
And shipping will be thousands.
I offered on one of the other boards to store it here if everyone wants to pitch in to purchase it
