I find that as I look forward to my next WDW vacation (2 weeks!), I am more excited about the visits to the resorts than the parks. I look forward to seeing things in the parks, but don't want these plans to interfere with my REAL goals -- to visit all my favorite resorts. I want to go boating at the Polynesian and hang out at the Boardwalk. Planning the usual pilgrimage to Ft. Wilderness, which in my family is considered a shrine as we spent every summer there when I was a kid. I want to check out Wilderness Lodge more than I have in the past, and of course shop at Downtown Disney, and try to get to ride up front in the monorail. All these things -- walking, shopping, EATING -- are even more enticing than the parks. Anyone else feel the same? DVC is great because I will have lots of trips on which to do all this great stuff.

It's getting like this for us too.The more we go,the more we look forward to all the stuff you mentioned and the parks take a back seat.

Exactly like we feel! We love visiting different resorts on each vacation. Last year, we saw the Animal Kingdom Lodge and truly loved the "Boma" buffet. If you go, try the cassaba pudding and also the chopmeat-mixture casserole. Wish I knew the name of it, because it was one of the best dishes ever! Sort of like a Greek moussaka dish. Wow!

Thanks, Grace. We are heading to Boma. I wasn't sure of which night so I made TWO ps's! If Boma is as great as everyone here thinks, we may end up using both! I have lured my dh with the promise of the famed "zebra domes." :)

I agree with the above posters also. Our last 3 trips to WDW we only visited the parks 3 days out of 19 days we were there. We love to resort hop,DD,Cirque Di Solei, relax at the pool, etc.:D

It's like being able to savor a good meal without hurrying. We also enjoying going around to the different resorts, boating, miniature golfing, trying out new restaurants, and just relaxing by the pool. We, too, love Boma's and plan on eating there in a couple of weeks!

To me, this is one of the best things about DVC. Since I know we will be coming back each year, we don't feel as if we need to try to squeeze everything in one trip.

We love Boma. Are you talking about the Bobotie? DH loved it and they sent me the recipe when I requested it.
