Resort lounge/bar

The Tambu lounge at the Poly is fun with a selection of tropical drinks(expensive though). I recently enjoyed some African beers at the AKL lounge. The bar at WL is nice and a little quiet after a long day in the parks. At the Contemporary there is a lounge adjoining the California Grill with a view of MK that is fantastic.

We LOVE the Belle Vue Room at The Boardwalk. Great atmosphere and really nice bartenders.
You can sit inside or out on the porch and watch the goings on down on The Boardwalk.
It stormed on Christmas Eve and we had a nice cozy night playing Scrabble in the lounge. :)

One of the best is at Riverside. On Wednesday thru Saturday nights (8:30 to Midnight) Piano Man - Bob Jackson plays.

For those of you who have seen his show...you know how much fun it is.

For those who have not seen it....you have no idea what you are missing. !

But...as you may have heard on these boards before, the "fun times" are very loud and energetic. If a "quiet" evening in a bar / lounge is your style, then you may not like this type of show.

One good thing, Bob's shows are geard towards ALL ages. He loves kids just as much and the kids have alot of fun.

We have been to Riverside every year since Aug. 2000 and twice last year. Bob's show is a can't miss if its your "style".

We like the one at the Poly! Misners at the GF is nice, if you don't mind cigar smoke (which means although we like the bar, we don't go, if anyone is smoking). You can sit there, enjoy a drink, and listen to the live combo in the lobby. Many like Territory Lounge at WL. And we thought the bar at AKL was great, too! Probably the best is the River Roost at PO-R with the great piano player!

Victoria Falls at the AKL has to be one of the most beautiful. Add to taht the exotic aromas drifting up from Boma below and you have a really special experience.

The Belle Vue Room is another favorite. It's another unique atmosphere, quiet and refined, yet very cozy and relaxing.

The lounge at the California Grill has a beautiful view, but it's very crowded at peak times. It has the highest numbers of kids, many of whom seem to be very cranky.

My favorites:
Victoria Falls at the AKL
Territory Lounge at Wilderness Lodge
Crews Cup Lounge at Yacht Club Resort
Mizners at the Gf.

Should add that except for Crews Cup, beer offerings at these lounges leave a lot to be desired.

Maybe you could post this over on Restaurants board also? Might get even more replies.

We hope the Outer Rim is great
They make the BEST Long Island Iced Teas. The wings are good too, but they are now Teriyaki instead of Buffalo Style.
