Hi all,
Please help , we are coming from the UK in May 16 for 3 weeks with 2 boys aged 4 and 9.
We just dont know where to stay, planned for the wildernes lodge but with all the extensive building works about to commence dont wont that to ruin our dream trip.

Dont want the kids to share a bed so alternatives we have looked at is the Beach club as they have an extra day bed or the Animal kingdom bunk beds or maybe a mixture of the 2 if possible .
We like the idea of animal kingdom as a rsort to relax in when not at the parks but worried it is a bit isolated and that it might become a bit stale/boring for 3 weeks and having longer bus trips where as the Beach club appears to be within walking distance of Epcott and Hollywood studios whilst also giving a variety of things to do in the evening but will the kids like Beach club?

Please help with all your experience as my head is a mush trying to decide xxx

The Beach Club has the best pool on property (Stormalong Bay), so your boys will love it.

My vote is BC as well.Beautiful resort, great pool and the location is great with all the dining options. The Boardwalk area is lots of fun at night too! 3 weeks I'm jealous!! Have a great time!

My vote would be for AKL. I've toured the bunkbed rooms and will be staying in one in August. The theming is great and they are really spacious. AKL is also magical and once your are inside you will quickly realize that you will be anything but bored. They also have an amazing schedule of activities that your kids can participate in, so even on the days when you are at the resort you will not have a shortage of things to do. Kenny the Pirate has the activities schedule up for July which will give you a taste. The pool area is also really nice and there are lots of areas from which to view the animals, this insures that you still get to enjoy that experience even if you aren't in a Savannah view room.

Though it may be a bit more out of the way, everything is easily accessed from the buses and though you may have an extra 10 minutes or so to get to the parks, you don't feel as far away from the action as you would think.

I would suggest BC for 2 weeks and then AKL for 1 week so everyone can experience the different resorts and still have their own bed. The pool at BC is awesome but AKL has a fairly nice pool as well. Something else to think about is maybe do a 3 resort stay, 1 for each week, and throw the Poly in the mix (sharing a bed for this week).

Oh no the wife has thrown another spanner in the works, the Poly has day beds and thinking of making this our base for 3 weeks , any thoughts??????

How about the cabins at Fort WIlderness...it is awesome for boys that age! Fishing, archery, bunk beds, horses, pool with water slide, boat to the MK... My son is 7 and LOVES it there!

I would do a split stay between BC and AK, although the cabins suggestion is great too. Maybe a week at each.

I'd stay at AKL for one week (really, the place is amazing!) and then spend 2 weeks at the BC or the Poly.

I agree that AKL is a bit out of the way for such a long trip, but the buses don't share with another resort and it's not that bad to use them. The theming, the animals, activities and great pool options keep us coming back to AKL.

BC has a great pool and is fantastic if you like Epcot. If you spend most of your time at the MK, then I'd lean towards Poly. We have stayed at both and been very happy at both.
