I just received word that the special offer allowing Disneyland Resort Hotel guests access to BOTH parks early EVERY DAY of the week has been extended through 09/29/12!

Yay! Between this and the PINs being distributed looks like they are finally getting a game plan together for September. :cool1: Come on Park Hours!!!!!

Thanks for that bit of great news - it will make it easier for us to play it by ear on our August trip! :)

I guess that shows you how fast information flies by here. The news was actually broken by S.S Columbia in the super thread on July 17.

Another "yay" since that's right through the very end of our trip and definitely makes staying on-site our only choice. Now, just gotta pick WHICH hotel. :rotfl:

On July 17th, S.S. Columbia reported it was extended thru September 13th. The OP in this thread is reporting it has now been extended to 9/29.

Of course it has. Because we get there on 9/30. :(

I wonder if it is going to be a permanent, on the Disney website...for the 2013 Resort Hotel Package, this has become part of the package: Extra Magic Hour**

Disneyland Resort Hotel Guests can enjoy early admission, during every day of their hotel stay, to select attractions in Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park one hour before the park opens to the public. (Valid theme park admission and active hotel room key required

same here... I hope they make it permanent. I have been trying to plan my character meals around the MWF/SatSunTuesThurs sched

Just to clarify, one Park being open every day of the week (MWF/STTS) is permanent. It's BOTH Parks open early every day that ends 9/29.

Yay - now to work out if I should adjust my plans.

We were planning on doing EMH in DCA on the Friday and DL on Sat/Sun - not sure if that is still the best way to do it or not. Will have to think about it.

This has got to be helping bookings at DLR hotels. I know its swayed us to stay onsite. That extra hour on the shorter days seems worth it.

So is the general consensos to use EE at the park opposite whichever park is having MM? Sounds logical, just means I need to shift all of my touring plans and a couple reservations.

I've been on a non-Disney vacation and haven't been on the boards much. Does this basically mean that those of us who can't afford to stay onsite are never, ever, ever going to have a fair chance at entry into the parks? Don't get me wrong, I'm actually fine with them having EMH every day (DL one day, CA the next), but every day for both parks? So, no way to avoid a full (I know, it won't be full, but it sure won't be empty) park before you even have a chance to get in? That really is disappointing.

The official information page has been updated to reflect both extensions - too complicated to explain - read the relevant sections at the top and bottom of the page.
