DH has decided to take me down for a long weekend for F&W. Yaaaaay! We have decided that at this time we might visit some of the moderates & deluxes to check them out as we have only ever stayed at value. Would like your input as to which resorts we must visit, in order of priority, so that we can get in the best ones with our limited time. We will be using WDW transportation, so time may become an issue with trying to visit too many resorts.

Definitely do a monorail tour! It's the easiest, fastest, and you get to see the best resorts (IMHO). :)

Take your resort bus to the MK, then hop the resort monorail to the Contemporary, Poly, and Grand Floridian! Then, when you get back to the MK, hop the boat over to the Wilderness Lodge, then to Fort Wilderness! Have a great time!

Oh, and to make it fun - at each resort you visit, ask at the front desk for a free postcard of that resort! They have them there - usually on the front desk, but sometimes you have to ask for them. Then, you can put them in your album when you get home!

I'd also hit the Epcot resorts, since you'll be there for F&W... Beach/Yaht Club, Swan/Dolphin, and Boardwalk. I like to walk along the path behind the Boardwalk Inn to check out some of the Villas.. they're gorgeous!

The moderates aren't so convenient to check out, but the Port Orleans resorts have a boat to Downtown Disney, if you happen to be down that way.

If you want to tour the moderates, POR and FQ are connected by a walking path as well as you can just take the DTD boat between the 2.;)

You could have the most lovely evening on a monorail tour. Cocktails at the GF, dinner at CR (California Grill) dessert at the Poly.... then swing back to the MK for fireworks or something.

If you decide to spend some time shopping at DTD, then take the boats from DTD (behind the Volcano restaurant which name is escaping me at this moment) to OKW and then back to DTD and then the boat to POR/FQ. POR/FQ you can easily walk inbetween to tour each by using pathway along the river. Both OKW and POR/FQ are very easy to walk around and tour and lovely to look at as well. If you decide to do this at night, then be aware that the last boats from DTD to these resorts usually leaves at 9 p.m. and you would have to use the Disney buses to get you back to a themepark/DTD.

I also agree with above posters in is easiest to tour the Epcot and MK resorts due to the closeness to those parks and very easy to get around.

As for touring the other resorts, CS, CBR, AKL just take the buses from the parks it is easy enough to see them all. Personally, I love PO, AKL and WL. Those are my favorites and just so beautiful and those are the ones that when you get codes, won't kill your budget.
