Resort hopping question

DH and I are so excited to resort hop on our upcoming trip. We'll have lots of "adult only" time, so we'll get to enjoy the resorts without being rushed by a "I need to go on rides" kid.

Will we be able to walk through the resorts to get a feel of them? We're most interested in taking in AKL and WL.

Resort hopping is something we enjoy on our visits too. You are welcome to vist any/all of the WDW resorts. We try to schedule dinners at a different resort each night, giving us an "excuse" for getting around. You didn't mention your method of transportation, but be aware of two things:
1. If you will be using Disney transportation, after the parks close you will have to transfer at DTD to get to/from many resorts. This can be time consuming. Many folks prefer to travel by taxi in this case.
2. If driving, some of the monorail resorts will give you a temporary (3 hour) parking permit. This is to prevent guests from parking at a monorail resort and going off to the MK for the day.

We love to resort hop, too. That's often how we pick out the hotel we'd like to try for our next trip. You might want to combine a trip to AKL with a buffet breakfast or buffet dinner at Boma on your way to/from Animal Kingdom.
