Resort guests free parking theme parks?

I think this is still the case but wanted to confirm with anyone who has recent experience. The only reason I ask is that a friend's brother was told by an AKL castmember that they had to pay to park even as resort guests. Sounds like a misunderstanding to me. What say you?

Guests at WDW resorts get free parking. But not the DTD resorts. Just the ones right on the main property.

Our recent stay at WDW was at Wilderness Lodge in July and parking was free at all theme parks to resort guests. When you check-in they will give you a piece of paper that says you're a resort guest and when you checked in through your checkout date. All you do is to put the paper on your dashboard on the drivers side. Now not to confuse you, they do charge you if you valet you're car even at you're own resort, but that's only once per day and it's good at all the resorts not just you're own within that same day. Tipping the valet isn't included in this charge. Hope all this makes it understandable. Chip.

When we were at the Swan last Dec I don't remember getting anything for our car window. I think my DH just showed our AP for free parking. Does anyone know if Swan and Dolphin are included in free parking at parks?

You're right, they don't give parking passes for the Swan & Dolphin. We just showed our room key at each parking lot (we drove to MK & AK) and there was no charge.

I think free parking is one of the greatest perks with staying on site. We're also AP holders, which also gives us free parking, but we go to many different resorts during our stay, and our pass from our resort is good all over.
We've never been over the the Swan or Dolphin though...

It is free for all resort guests including the S/D. As paras4ri already mentioned, you just need to show your room key.
