Resort Fees!

I so agree with the annoyance over resort fees. We just stayed at the Boca Beach Resort for a night as my husband had an event and on top of the room rate we had a $27 valet charge (only choice) and $24 resort fee.

I was looking at the Hyatt Grand Cypress for one night this weekend prior to checking into our main hotel and walked when I saw the $22.50 resort charge. The Dolphin and Swan have upped their resort fee to $12 and their self park fee to $11. It's crazy.

It's funny that you would mention this resort because I've been eyeing it for a while since it looks so nice. You can get good bargains there at times but the fees ruin it for me.

One question... Why do they say that they have a complimentary shuttle and then state that the resort fees are in part used to pay for the shuttle service?

Parking fees at hotels are the worst!
If I don't stay DVC, or at another disney property, I typically only stay at regular hotels.
These resorts that charge extra somtimes like good prices, until you add in resort and parking fees.
