We will be staying at CSR December 21-28. We want to visit some other resorts and check out the decorations. We already have ADR's but I thought it might be interesting to try some different Counter Service locations at different resorts. What are some good counter service locations at resorts. We would also be interested in any interesting snacks at resorts as well. Thanks!!

AoA food court looks good and Pop has a good King Cupcake but I don't know if those are resorts you would visit. People rave about the new Capt. Cook's at the Poly but we found it boring. Can't speak much about the other resort CS. I would read the menus on Allears to see what sounds good. I'll follow along to see what others say.

I agree with checking out the menus to see what interests you. I, personally, enjoy going to any and all resorts, but I'm definitely not a foodie. I love Disney pizza and chicken nuggets! I am fairly simple, so as long as I can get something to eat, I'm fine. I like to check out the resorts more for the resorts than the food. If you're picky with food (or if you're looking for something special) then look at the menus. If not, then just pick a hotel that you've never seen and go from there.

So far I've had a walkaround or stayed at all of these resorts: Pop Century, All Star Sports, Movies and Music, Art of Animation, Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter, Coronado Springs, Yacht and Beach Club, the Contemporary, the Poly and the GF. This year I'm planning to see at least the Wilderness Lodge (Hoop Dee Doo and meandering around all the other areas, including the Lodge while over there) and CBR since it's the only mod I've not yet seen.

The Mara at AKL, Captain Cooks at Poly (they changed the menu last year and it's a major upgrade IMO), Beaches and Cream at BC (you may need an adr unless you are getting ice cream from the window), Contempo Cafe at Contemporary, Roaring Forks at WL.

Our favorite resort CS is Captain Cooks at the Poly, followed closely by Mara at AKL and Roaring Forks at WL.

I would recommend the Gasparilla Grill at GF, when we stayed there it always had very good options anytime, and fresh to order.

Donald seems to agree here, as he and his nephews were leaving the MK by the Floridian Way when...

Seems that Donald holds the Company to very high standards, to be sure -- but he does so because he cares about the guest experience...!

All 3 on the monorail loop are good and will have nice decorations (the resorts). Captain Cooks is my favorite.

I love Captain Cook's, but honestly we are staying at Art of Animation for the first time this week, and the food court here is FABULOUS! The food is delicious, it's clean, good service, easy to navigate and such a great selection. Other resort QS I have tried and NOT been impressed with are Contempo Cafe and Everything Pop.

POFQ has a GREAT poboy sandwhich and other southern foods which are amazing, the bignets are always good as well!!!!

I was going to say French Quarter too...they have some great items. Jambalaya was good and the Beignets are DELICIOUS
