We have room only reservations @Pop Century in December. I will be checking in 12/16. My brother & parents reservations start 12/19 (last day of value season) but my parents won't be arriving until 12/21 (not sure when my brother will be arriving yet.) How will this work? Can I check them in on 12/19 (I am paying for all three rooms...their Christmas present!) :santa: :santa: :santa:

if your name is on all the reservatons as the primary guest - then yes you can check in.

so even paying for 2 days when they won't be there - is a better deal than waiting until they arrive?

YES! When I first called to make reservations for them to check in 12/23 for six nights the rate was @$150/night! Checking in 12/19 (last day of value) and with AAA discount it will cost @$65/night! So instead of paying @$150+/night for 6 nights (@$900/room) we are paying @$65/night for 10 nights (@$650/ room!)

I made and paid for the reservations but gave them my parents and brother and sister-in-law's names as guests in those rooms....

Wow what a fantastic Christmas present for your family.:goodvibes I'm glad you got a great rate on the rooms. Next year, i believe, that will be changing with the new pricing/rate structure. Sometimes Disney tends to dull away some of the magic by doing things that aren't very "magical" or sensible to the people who pay the $ to visit year after year. Oh well, we always go 2nd week in December :santa: to avoid crowds so as long as they don't shrink back value season, we'll still be going year after year.:thumbsup2

BTW, where in Texas?

I was in a similar situation two years ago at All Star. My husband and I were in a room only reservation and arrived December 22nd. Both of our names were listed on our reservation. My in-laws arrived a week later and their three names (my brother-in-law also came so they had the extra adult charge) were on their reservation. We had no packages, no dining stuff, nothing like that. Just two rooms in two different primary names that I had asked to be connected in the system and possibly get adjoining rooms (I didn't really want connecting - they were the in-laws after all!). I checked my husband and I in when we arrived and then on the day my in-laws were getting there, I went to the front desk and asked if I could check them in as well. Not a problem at all. I was given their room keys (to the connecting room, darn it!) and also given their parking pass, etc. I did put my credit card down but once my father-in-law got there, he just changed it to his. We did have the same last name and the two reservations were connected in the system.
