How is ME for arrivals in MCO around 11 PM? I thought I read that ME runs 24 hours but will not get your luggage after 10 PM. Is this correct? Do the busses run as often or does it take a lot longer to get to your resort because of fewer busses or more stops later at night? Would you recommend getting a private transfer for late arrival? Does a late arrival mean that you will likely end up with a less desirable room at check in?

You can still use DME after 10 pm, but you are correct that you have to get your own luggage as that service ends at 10 pm. I can't answer about the buses as we prefer a car service or rental car and have never used DME, but hopefully someone will be able to answer that for you. As far as the room assignment question, we have checked in at all times of the day over the years from early morning to late at night (after midnight) and have never received a bad room. In fact, on our Poly stay, we checked in around 1:00 a.m. and 2 out of our 3 requests were met, with the 3rd being met if we wanted to change rooms the next day. So, IMO, time of check in doesn't necessarily mean you will end up with an undesirable room.

Has anyone else experienced ME later at night? Did it take longer than usual?

I took it last year and got in at 10 or 11. Had to get my bags but essentially walked right on ME. It may make more stops than normal due to lower crowds but service was fine. The bus wasn't packed but there were more riders than I would have expected.

It doesn't take much longer at all if even at all. Just make sure you bring the ME bus passes they send you prior to the trip so that you may skip going to the counter downstairs.

We used ME on August 25. We got there about 11pm and while we walked right on the bus we did sit and wait for about a half hour while more people showed up. Fortunately we were the first stop.

Even with all my planning I did forget my vouchers at home but there was no wait at the ME desk. Even at that time of night there were 3 CMs at the desk ready to help.

I would take a car service. I got in at 11 pm once and did not get to my resort until after 1 am. I was staying at POR and ME went to all of the monorail resorts first. Grab your luggage, jump in a car, get to your resort!

ME seems to run smoother late night than during the day, naybe it is just less busy. I wouldn't worry. Using a car is pricey and can take nearly as long. Use the money for a nice meal.

We are staying at the CR so would that mean we would be one of the first stops late night? The order of drop offs seems random. Although I had one bus driver tell me that if anyone on the bus is going to the GF, the bus had to go there first even though it was out of the way.

You need to post to post on the transportation board. I remember one of the CM's posting about they have to go a certain route in order to make the turn into the Poly.
