Resort Character Lunch

On our last day, we will not have time to go into a park and wanted to take our time checking out. One last swim, and leisurly packing up. I thought a character lunch would be a nice send-off for the kids.

Which resort would be the best choice for a character lunch?

I may be losing my mind but I don't think a resort character lunch exists...

Correct me if I am wrong!

No outside of the park character lunch exists anymore. 1900 Park Fare is used for the Tea party with Alice, Chef Mickey's is just breakfast and dinner, 'Ohana is just breakfast, Cape May is just breakfast. You might want to alter your plans for a late Character breakfast PS.

How can that be? What is the latest time you can get in to Chef Mickeys or Cape May for Breakfast?

Cape May and Chef's is 11.00 I think for last PS.

But I could be wrong - I was so sure that Chefs did a lunch, maybe they used to

Maybe WDW's thinking is that most folks are at the Parks during the day, so this wouldn't be popular. Been going to WDW for a very long time and never remember there being one outside of the parks.

If I were you I would pick out a resort you'd like to visit next time and pick a lunch there. We are visiting Whispering Canyon because they say they have some fun antics for the kids to watch and be entertained. Some suggestions would be

1. Whispering Canyon
2. Beaches & Cream- for that kitchen sink thingie- they won't forget that!!
3. Renting mice boat
4. 'Ohana's
5. Or one of the AKL restaurants so they can see the animals.

Chef Mickey's used to serve lunch, but they stopped that a while ago. Call the dining # and request the latest seating for a character breakfast if you really want to dine with characters the last day--I'm thinking it is 11 am.
