Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

We started out 6 nights at the Fort, then changed to 6 nights at POP, then we changed to 1 night in Tampa and 5 at POP, then 1 in Tampa, 5 at POFQ, (but wanted CSR-no rooms available) then wend back to 1 night in Tampa, and 5 at POP. Still have 3 months to go

3 mths to go.......I see a few more changes....

Ok so I most deffinetly have the disease to . We got a pin code and we are booked in Bay Lake tower 1-bedroom in May. Now I am having second thoughts about the money. There are five of us and that makes our choices limited. We originally booked the Poly but for $300.00 more we could upgrade to the 1-bedrom at BLT. Now I am thinking maybe the cabins at FW would be cheaper. I called and the cabins were not available with that code, but we also have another code so I think i will try tomorrow or Monday to see if they are available with that one. Then compare the prices and see if it is worth giving up the monorail. PLEASE stop the madness that is running through my mind over this . Any opinions?

Welcome to the madness!! We just got a 40% off code and reserved a 1bedroom at Kidani Village. BLT sure looks nice too! The kids want to try Universal and Kennedy space center. Right now I have no idea where we are going next year, I wish I could make up my mind!

I think we are going to do one day at Sea World to. I had a hard time decideing if I wanted to go to Universal because of Harry also, but I think we will for the madness of that to die down a little first. Maybe we will do that when everyone else is checking out the new Magic Kingdom. I did call and the cabins are not available. That was my only other choice. I really wanted the monorail anyway, but the boat at FW is nice to. So I guess I am just going to have to get over the cost. I am sure that while I am sitting on my balcony watching Wishes and not having to fight my way out of the MK I will be glad I did . However you never know I still have 6mos. worth of fretting and changing my mind .

This is the first year that I have not changed our resort reservations at least twice. We got a super good price at the Poly in Jan '10. My DH said if I make any changes he will divorce me. I so want to call to price a few other resorts but I haven't. I am getting the shakes. I wonder if I would be happy if I just made some dining changes...

You'll love the Poly, it's beautiful! Can't beat the location either

Awesome....you will love AKV..Jambo or Kidani? You can use amenities at both....I stayed at Kidani last month...and would walk over to Jambo ,bigger and better gift shop!

Kidani has a great pool area..esp for kids...although love Jambo too....And Kidani has Sanaa...great restaurant that is right next to the savanna for your viewing pleasure!!

The overlook area at Kidani is a little more imtimate..meaning you feel so much closer to the animals, I loved it!!!

I love this thread, it makes me realise I'm not alone in my tweaking my resort reservations

So far - I started off with 7 nights AKL savannah view, then 7 nights AKL Cl, then changed to 7 nights YC standard, then 7 nights YC waterview, then 5 nights YC CL and 2 nights Portofino Bay, now I'm 'finally' settled on2 nights BC CL and 5 nights YC CL

So glad you found us...I have seen some of your posts....!! I recall you enjoying BWI CL!!

I thought the CM's at YC CL were fantastic during our stay there!!!

I'm terrible aren't I lol - I love the BWI CL but unfortunately for me Disney Travel UK aren't offering a discount on the BWI (and they don't offer CL there), however, I'm more than happy with my discount for the BC and YC CLs

I thought it was just me with the urge for constant changes and always on the hunt for a better deal. I'm currently booked at ASMu 1 fam suite and 1 preferred room so I can fit eight people.

I have already figured out that I could probably just get two rooms at a mod for the same rate, but whcich one?

First thing I would do is start going through the Mod FAQ threads...decide which theme you like best..and start from there...then dont be surprised if you second guess yourself a few times after that

I have booked and changed so many times....just read this thread...ah, maybe not..lol

I toured CSR last month...loved it...definately want to stay there someday....coming up in Dec I booked POR...great rate for std with AP rate...and then I move to FQ cause that's where my friend is staying, and I'm a roommate!

CBR is the most spread out...really depends on what you and the rest of your group is looking for in a resort..they all have pros and cons

Yes, and it looks like we will at POFQ at the same time...ha! But I cant change since that part of my stay I am staying with another Disfriend who does not suffer from my affliction

I've changed around too much. We'll have to at least stop by and say hello at the food court or something.

I really have wanted to stay at CSR, esp after touring the resort in Sept! But I refused to pay for a water view, this morning a std opened up with the AP rate so I changed.

I figured I can still check out POR while staying at FQ...even if this is a short/busy/fun trip.

LOL, today is my last day I can change. And so much is holding me from going back to POR--fear mostly is making me just go back, but I can live dangerously, lol.
